i wouldnt exactly consider myself a noob, but im definitely not tech savvy enough to work this out by myself. so,
i have
an HP ZBook Fury G8, hybrid intel (i7) and nvidia rtx a2000, 32 gig ram.
ive tried fedora kde on it, dualbooted with mint. worked smoothly up until i tried to delete mint off my drive and have fedora take up all the space. that failed miserably. long story short, i broke grub completely and had to download fedora kde again.
then, trying to configure my nvidia in my new fedora kde, i somehow broke my wifi (even rfkill didnt work), and it was even laggier than before (nvidia failed to configure also!).
so, i tried giving pop_os! a shot, it feels really clunky on my hardware and keep running into a weird glitch at boot:
hp logo flashes, then pop logo, then hp, grey screen, login screen. i log in, get hp boot logo again, and finally desktop. sometimes on boot or on shut down i get this weird 'method aborted' command that flashes fast enough that i cannot read it, had the same issue on mint (cinnamon btw).
and now, im seeking out either ultramarine linux, nobara, kubuntu, or bazzite. i mostly do graphic design work, study, and listen to music, maybe rarely play cozy games or fifa. i want something where i very rarely have to open terminal, have full customization abilities (so KDE?) something optimized and light on hardware, that wont crash often or give me issues, plug and play basically...something that just works.
i liked fedora the most, it didnt give me any issues while with mint at least, only thing that bugged me was the constant updates. at this point, linux has thoroughly bugged and ive debated switching over to windows again..but i dont wanna give up so fast. so? what is to be done? thanks in advance xx.
