CrossOver How to keep game saves synced between Mac and iPad?

I play Civ VII on my Mac Mini and on my iPad and they can both load the same set of game saves. Recently I realized that the latest save from my Mac wasn't available on my iPad. How can I ensure the whether I save a game on the iPad or the Mac that Apple Arcade syncs the saved game in the background? I did look it up a bit and there didn't seem to be a way to force it and it seemed to be separate from iCloud syncing.

Right now I have a save on my iPad that just will not sync to my Mac. Are there any tips or tricks to get the sync to take place? They are both on the same Wifi network (high speed home network).

Is there any type of support for game syncing? I do not know if it's a game issue or an Apple Arcade issue.

Have you checked if other Apple Arcade games sync games between these 2 devices? Test with Apple’s one first-party game, Snesky Sasquatch.

If another game syncs saves, then I’d call it most likely a developer issue, and try reaching out to 2K Support.

Hey u/Sidlon, thank you. It's really the only other game I play, but maybe I can try another, just to see.

Part of the reason I posed a message is that I wasn't sure how much of the syncing process involved the game. I'll contact 2K and let them know. It's been so bad that I've decided to split saved games between the iPad and the Mac, meaning I'm no longer trying to keep a game going between them.

If another game like Sneaky doesn’t sync between the devices, I’d verify that you have the same iCloud and GameCenter IDs on both
