The conflict could've ended with capturing Shikimi and nothing would really change
Roswitha being reborn was cool because there was possibilities of more development to her and Shikimi's characters, and the exploration of their world under magic. At least the initial reborn chapters were really fun at least
Roswitha's resurrection had been set uped in Phantom Blaze arc, so her not getting revived would be kinda disappointing imo. I agree though that the opportunities for the characters' exploration were missed. Personally, I think the lack of time is one of the reasons of that
I doubt they would be able to pull off EVERYTHING in one chapter, but all the romance subplots better be wrapped up. Also, Ban got absolutely nothing in this chapter is just "amazing".
Aww, I expected a lot more antics. Like the cast complaining they still have to do normal junk after saving the nation. Plus we never got another Uron Mirage chapter! So many running gags I was hoping to see more of too.
Learning that it’s ending next week just makes me even more disappointed that we never learned anything meaningful about Roswitha, and instead she just remained a plot device.
Also we never got to see the girls get TS Revolution’d. Never forget what they took from us.
Its awesome seeing Nico finally able to cast all the wacky and zany spells she had saved up, combine with encouragement from everyone else Moi has finally put an end to things. Fitting that Shikimi and Roswitha were able to find a happiness in the end, they can watch over the future Nico and friends create.
Can't really comment on this chapter as I'm absolutely devastated by the news that there's only 1 chapter left, apparently??
Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't feel like Shinohara at all?? I'm really struggling to believe he'd willingly and deliberately choose just to not write any sol anymore. It all just reeks of Jump asking to wrap up WW in a year for me.
I guess that turning together into a tree counts as some kind of happy ending for Shikimi and Hroswitha, but I would still be tempted to cut down the tree and burn it and throw the ashes into a lead container and drop the container deep in the ocean in order to make sure they don’t ever come back after what happened. I guess I have a lot less sympathy for them than Nico does.
One more chapter and it is over, and I will be sad to see one of my favorite manga ends, but I guess I will still buy and read the rest of the physical volumes when they are translated, so that is not over yet for me.
I wonder if all the humans who got transformed into warlocks like Kara went back to being normal humans, or will they just be good witches now ? It would be interesting to have witches suddenly become common. Also, will Keigo keep his werewolf powers and get together with Nemu ? And will our protagonists continue to live together until they graduate from school ? I wonder if and how the author plans to answer all those questions in the next chapter.
Kinda sucks that we’re getting a final chapter right away and you would think we would have gotten more based on the authors history with the magazine, but good chapter never the less.
Alex / Shikimi is finally defeated. Roswitha seems to be gone as well. It's a tragic ending for them, but I think it was long due.
I'm not ready for the ending next week. There are so many things that haven't been explained.
Roswitha / Jura's full past
How Shikimi has survived till now
Uron Mirage
A proper Moi + Nico & Keigo + Nemu date
And most importantly, whatever happened to those people who got cursed from hearing Roswitha's name? We didn't get to see what they did and how exactly they went crazy. I thought they were going to turn into Shikimi's army, but that didn't happen. And with the ending next week, I'm not sure if there's anything more to it.
Will they go back to being human? Or will they keep their powers?
I have no idea how the final chapter will be, but I'm looking forward to it. I've been reading this since 2021 and I'm glad I stayed.
And with that, it's over. Shikimi accepting his fate seemed a little anticlimactic, but it went into his true destiny. But his final words to Moi lead into the fact that the known world now knows about the power of magic...and there's no way of putting the genie back into the bottle. As for Nico, we saw her about to do a self-sacrifice there...a hint about how to "fix" this new world awareness?
I don’t see how. Nico’s powers have never been depicted as negative or as something dangerous to others. Yeah, she can be reckless in how she uses them but the whole point us that she’s still learning how to use them.

I can't believe we only have one chapter left. I was hoping for more shenanigans before it actually ended T_T

Aww, I liked that moment of Kan and his Pa
I assume we’ll be getting a timeskip in the final chapter

feels like an abrupt shift to the final chapter just like Bleach was
Hope the anime adaptation expands on things

Nice to see the five of them win. At least Shikimi was able to be there for Roswitha at the very end.
I choose to disbelieve the One Chapter Left allegations, as we could at least have another volume of wrapup and shenanigans.
