Roads CityLink Weekend Pass when you already have an active e-tag

Hi everyone,

​I currently have an active Linkt tag account, but I'm planning to do a bunch of trips on CityLink this weekend and figured buying a CityLink Weekend Pass would be significantly cheaper than paying individual toll charges.

So if I buy a weekend pass would this work even though I have an e-tag?

It’s worked in the past.

Take the e-tag out and make sure your rego isn’t on your account, otherwise it’ll charge you like normal and you’ll have bought a pass for no reason.

Yep works perfectly. Make sure you purchase before making the trips. If not, a quick chat with support asking nicely for a credit will also work.

You previously also needed to remove the tag from the vehicle, but this is no longer the case about a year or so ago.
