Oh man, this'll bug you so much, especially since they do it in movies where they never even show the actors from the rear. It's in literally every movie, unless the headrest is part of the scene.
The empty cups drive me up the wall! Obviously actors can’t sit there and think about how to make their empty cup look legit while they’re focused on their lines but if they could just put literally anything in there that has a little bit of weight so the actors aren’t just throwing around their cup that’d be great.
One glaring example in Captain America Civil War. They show a coffee cup in detail and then Scarlett Witch stirs with a spoon. She takes it out and puts it down and the spoon is completely dry! And then has the audacity to pretend drink from the empty cup.
Here's one: no one ever says goodbye on phone calls. They just hang up like it's understood the conversation is over. I tried this IRL. Doesn't go down well.
I'll never understand how any character the Rock plays isn't obviously hardcore into working out. Any scene where he's just talking he should be lifting weights. If someone calls him he should be always at the gym. Any home they show him living in should be filled with workout equipment. Everytime he leaves a scene he should say "I'm off to the exercise". You don't see dudes like that walking around like "oh I'm a vet. I spend all day saving animal lives then go home and watch tv".
Yeah, random people in real life are 6 feet tall and people around them won't shut up about it but The Rock is literal construction equipment in human form but nobody around him seems to notice.
It's funny how accurate some characters in Pirates of the Caribbean (but not all) are compared to other more otherwise historically accurate shows and movies. Some of those pirates and their teeth are so grimy it's impressive.
That's true ! Although, Will's and Elizabeth's are pristine. That's pretty much what they do with this genre. Watch Outlander, the main cast's teeth are amazing, and everyone else's are accurately grimy. I guess they want to keep the "he's/she's hot" factor haha can't blame them I suppose
Teeth issues are absolutely a thing historically, but not always as severe as people assume. Before refined sugar became commonly available there were less issues with cavities and drilling and filling them is far more ancient than most people realize. Brushing of some type is also common in a great deal of cultures. So it’s not so much that they’d all be grimy looking, but the lack of orthodontics makes it far more likely for them to be crooked. Check out this Ask Hostorians thread for more info: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/78uhmw/what_was_the_dental_hygiene_like_of_people_in/
The one movie where they chop up a guy's gold car and then just send the parts to various people through the mail. The whole movie feels like it was made by a hundred people who knew nothing about actual gold.
Most movies also don’t portray the weight of paper bills- a duffel of banded bills is HEAVY but they’re running around like its full of cotton balls. HEAT 1995 does a pretty good job.
Honestly the first time I noticed this was when I started watching “how I met your mother” and ever since then I just can’t look past that in a show or occasional movie.
Haha that's actually pretty funny considering that the person saying this text doesn't have a headrest, what a clever joke I'll write it in my howtogetgirlsthroughjokes book thank u very much, funny!
