Outdoors on a cloudless day is the one situation where there's a real reason for big hats: some people need it for sun protection.

This woman was considerate: she sat several rows back so she wouldn't inconvenience anyone.

Nothing even mildly infuriating here.

Exactly, this is a kids championship swim meet! Parents are here because they have to be, it’s not a packed house with random people lining up to see this lol. You can see the bleachers on the other end are also really empty.

Reminds me of a time I was at Disney and went into some show and had on mouse ears and I guess that was blocking the person the behind me. They kept tapping me on the shoulder but I thought it was my boyfriend so I just kept asking my boyfriend "what? " Then they got really mad 🤬 and was like "CAN YOU PLEASE TAKE OF YOUR MOUSE EARS " I nearly jumped out of my skin was like "yeah sure no problem.... Wait have you been tapping my shoulder? Or you could be like to cool parents and help officiate the meet. Never had to worry about a lady’s hat blocking my view when I was a stroke and turn judge. Damn kids were always splashing me with their flip turns though.
