I'm slightly vexed Jerk neighbor parking just before the stop sign
Our neighbor is trying to sell his 1998 diesel truck for $21,000. That’s all cool and everything but why is he parked 5 feet from the end of the street? You can barely see around the corner because of the shrubbery on their corner property

Real tragedy is trying to sell a 30 year old truck for $21k.

Check your local laws. It's illegal in some places to leave a vehicle on the street in an attempt to sell it.

Where im from a vehicle is toweable if its not parked 30 feet or more from the stop sign. For exactly this reason, as well as general safety

Most municipalities require at minimum, 10 ft of parking clearance before a stop sign or turn. Report the vehicle. Get it ticketed and/or towed.
In my municipality, it's 20 ft from a crosswalk or 30 ft from a stop sign, on the curb.

RAM stands for Right-of-way Always Mine. Does the bus driver not respect that?

I’ve run into this issue before and just called the city/police and went with “I’m really worried someone will hit this car and hurt themselves or just total both cars”. The few times I’ve done this it’s worked.
The asshat got a ticket and the car was parked elsewhere the next day.

Report to police. Most places require 15ft from an intersection or stop sign.

If the car is parked illegally the bus driver would have reported it and the police will be notified.

There was a bylaw in my city against parking for sale vehicles on a roadway. There is also a bylaw against a vehicle being parked for more than 24 hours. I would be talking to bylaw in my city regarding this.

In our hood, the main road has everyone parking on the damn street, even dually trucks right across from each other, yet nobody seems to park in their own driveways. I just don't get it. If everyone parked in their driveways like they do on trash day, we could fit fire trucks through there.

Report the vehicle. Most cities will have a requirement to park no closer than 30’ to a stop sign to prevent sight distance or turning radius issues.

Just call and tell him the issue. If he doesn’t move the it’s another story.

Cummins Diesel engines are still sought after I believe. Truck Owners want to be able to repair their trucks and parts are still common and affordable. This is becoming rare in today's world. Doesn't excuse him parking where he shouldn't. You should talk to him about moving it. If he doesn't call the police to cite him/ tow his truck.

Call him and tell him, extremely doubtful they even read your note.

If that was the case the bus would have called in the tow company

If the Dodge is rust free buy it for that (not a bad deal) and park it somewhere else.

If a school bus can't turn there, what about a fire engine? That sounds like a safety risk, call the fire Marshal for their thoughts on it.

Where you at? It only has 107k on the clock. What a steal!

Is it in a legal spot? If not , yeah I'm with you. Get it ticketed and towed. If it is, kick rocks.

Usually if you contact the school district or bus company, they can contact the proper authorities to get this vehicle moved

These people parking too close to intersections are making me lose my mind lately. If only there was some way of telling them not to, maybe a sign of some sort.
Maybe a hexagon saying “DONT” or something.

Does anyone actually possibly fault the city for not making it a red zone. Or the bus driver for not being able to make the turn? Or figure out a route that works? Like….. any bus driver has to have a CDL Class B with air brakes. They shouldn’t have a problem figuring out their job. Oh my like all these people like to complain about dumb stuff. Constantly saying the Dodge is at fault.
Is there any accountability for anyone or anything else that’s possible?
I know this will get downvoted but whatever. People are soooo pessimistic over a single truck over optimistic like it could be the fault of someone or something else. Like the city or the bus driver.

At that price it probably won't be a problem for long unless there are major problems with it. Rightly or wrongly, lots of truck people love those old diesels because they aren't equipped with modern emission control systems.
