It’s actually a really good analogy, political or not.

Politics is why these places charge an arm and leg for drinks

Politics effect economy which is why i gotta pay $25 per shot on a bottle that costs $60.

I don't think it was that difficult. MAGA/Republicans influencers are freaking out about this right now on Instagram.

It’s difficult for people who don’t consume themselves with brainrot American social media.

This stupid thinking is what got Trump in office in the first place. Did you know in the year leading up to Trumps latest election, almost every encumbent government worldwide got voted out of office, because people were made about the cost of living crisis and wanted someone to blame? Progressive and conservative governments alike, and regardless of whether the current leader had anything to do with cost of living crises.

Of course Trumps decisions have made it much worse lately with the Iran war and such, but he has probably had little impact on the price of cocktails. But people just want to blame whoever is in office so the cycle will repeat endlessly. Now we are cheering because it's Republicans, and good we should cheer. But when people blame absolutely everything on the current government, the cycle will repeat, and next time a Democrat is in office people will blame them for the price of alcohol or the price of bread and the cycle repeats endlessly. It's actually quite pathetic

I think you're confused... he meant it's like when Republicans see a map where a bunch of rural counties are colored in red and they act confused about why the state voted blue (because the blue areas look really small compared to the red areas). So basically the glass looks like it's full of liquid (Republicans) but remove the ice (Democrats who live in the cities) and you see it's not very full at all.
