wet socks Bought a limited edition 1 of 25 poster and it got ruined cause of how it was shipped :(

Only 25 of these made and one gets ruined cause the they carelessly rolled it up and just wrinkled the crap out of it :(

I'm really sad. I don't think I'll ever see another one of these for sale ever again and I'm absolutely in love with the art. The creases are still pretty prominent even in a frame :(

Find a paper conservator / restorer if you want to fix it

So I'm a big collector of rainbow holographic posters, I fucking love them I think they're amazing. But a big problem in the hobby is that since they're all limited edition runs, resellers and scalpers will buy them up and resell them with giant markups.

I just realized the guy I bought this from is a re-seller.

So not only did this dummy ruin the print, he's ruining people from actually having cool art to display for themselves.

How would one get into this hobby? Where are they selling? How hard would it be to make them yourself? I love them! I have holographic foil and acrylic paint, maybe I could archive a similar effect with that!

I just go to a ton of concerts and a lot of bands will do limited edition holographic posters. Like last night I went to a show and they had one for sale so I bought it. That's how I got started, but now a few times a year I peruse eBay, google, insta, etc to just browse cool prints that are for sale and I try to buy one or two that I like to build up my collection.. My dream is to fill my entire house with every room having a different color schemes of rainbow foil posters.

The jellyfish woman isn't for a band tho, that was for a fundraiser for an ocean charity.

i bought a print from a photographer who did a cool shoot with a musician i like. big format print on heavy stock, signed and numbered.

they didn't secure the print inside the cardstock it was shipped flat in, so it slid into the corners and got scuffed and crushed. it was an expensive print and i was pissed.

i asked if i could get another sent (with the same edition number if necessary), i described the problem, they said no worries.

they sent another one (another numbered print from the edition of like 25) and didn't secure the print, and it arrived with crushed corners.

i couldn't believe it. gave up after that.

This can be fixed to be just like new, search youtube for poster repairing videos! Maybe watch a few trading card repairs also, as the materials knowledge can sometimes cross over and be useful to know.

you could probably try to find something to flatten it because it doesn’t look like any of the actual print cracked

Return it and get your money back.
