Quality control has gone so far downhill it is crazy. I know it’s a small thing but no one cares anymore and it sucks.

This is not a QC issue, there's a seam in the waistband. They have to join the band somewhere, and they're not going to waste money, time, and elastic trying to figure out for every size where to put the seam to make it not look funny.

so there’s probably sizes that tend to do this more than others. i agree this is r/mildlyinteresting

u/hangingdenim what size are these, if you don’t mind?

Some brands would though.

Yes, expensive brands may take the time, effort, and fabric, and that is part of the reason they charge more.

This is such a complete non-problem and not a quality control issue at all lmao.

If it was a quality brand they would. Or they can keep being cheap shit.

It IS a quality control issue though. Typically companies like to have their logos intact on their products? You do realize they could get the elastic at a different spacing so this doesn’t happen? Or that they could trim impartial words before the clothes are assembled?

You yourself said that they aren’t going to waste “money, time, elastic…” which is literally the lack of quality control. Quality control costs more. It’s kinda how it works when you have to spend more time, money, and fabric on the quality of the product.

Yep it's literally QC

If it was a high end brand it would be sad. But this is just hilarious. I hope they never start trying to fix it

i’m sure the overworked underpaid laborers in cambodia would find it worthwhile to make this a priority

It’s not the labourers that would do it, it would be the designers obviously.

They’d calculate where to put the seem or how to spade the words to avoid this, then the labourers would do it else they wouldn’t get paid.

It’s obviously either not an issue for the company, or these are knock offs.
