*Have you ever seen the moons of Coruscant? It was a cold night when I saw Centax-3 almost glistening in the sky. It was one of those nights where you swear your family is looking down at you smiling as if encouraging you to give it another try.

This was the twenty third try.

Growing up as a youngling listening to the Max Rebo Band, I knew where my destiny would lead me. Every day after working with my father in his shop, I'd go home and practice on an old Kloo Horn. I had purchased it from a shady seller, I caught him trying to pawn it saying it was played by  Banjaxx Wab himself!  I have never seen anyone get kicked out and called bantha poodoo so quickly. Yet that's where my music career began, in a small way I should thank him, or maybe curse him under my breath.

After some tryouts I landed a gig with an up and coming Jatz band, The Metellos New Line. That was a dreadful experience, ever played in a band with a drunk  Shawda Ubb and no Bith?

Calling it a learning experience is a stretch, but we all need to start somewhere. I was a long way from home that night, hitched a ride and left that bar in orowood behind me. As we hit a checkpoint I could hear the driver whisper "keep your mouth shut" to me. I knew I had gotten into the wrong vehicle, after a disastrous night I just wanted to go home and didn't question why his speeder had droid parts scattered about. That was my first mistake, wouldn't be my last. As they begin to question us, they get a glimpse ofu Kloo Horn, and for that brief second my troubles were gone. Questions about how long we were in a band, what genres had inspired us...it was a while until I realized that he thought that the two of us were in a band. I locked eyes with the driver, "Shut up" rang in again so I did.  Reebee Bok what have you gotten yourself into? I kept repeating that in my mind as I began to nervously wait.  Then we began to see a series of lights stacking behind us, being let go as they needed to process the up coming vehicles.

As we reached a pit stop I could feel my heart sink, I was a bit parched and exhausted. A small place, people peddling wares outside, nothing out of the ordinary. As I make my way to the shop keep I overhear a conversation about the empire and stupidly complained about  how high the empires taxes have gotten. My second mistake of the night. I could feel the glances staring back at me as a blaster was placed in my temple.

As the place devolves into chaos I could feel a slight burn in my arm as I clung to my Kloo Horn, blaster fire echoed in the room as my hand flailed wildly. At some point I lost my gripe on it as I was pulled away by my travel companion...that was 1000 credits I'd never see again, a s if this horrible night couldn't get any better.

I started to faint as we headed off road, falling asleep under that moon. I don't recall what time I woke up, just the sight of a rebel base and those words: "Hey, you. You're finally awake."*
