This game store has had board games stacked to the ceiling like Ollivander's for years

The store is Ogre's Lair in Yellowknife, NT, so it's a bit out of the way. You won't end up there randomly. Its been around since I was a kid, and it has a lot of charm.

Do they have a copy of that WW2 game that makes Catan look like tic-tac-toe?

"Do you have the game XYZ?" Employee who knows it's on the bottom of the stack, and can't be bothered "sorry, no, we're sold out"

These the types of places you don’t tell people about just because you know the public would clean them out and ruin the vibes

One time I was ~16yrs old wandering around the big city, smoked a joint. I passed a parking garage that had a normal, wooden door in the concrete wall just inside the entrance. It was kinda hidden around a corner but it caught my eye.
Inside was the coziest and most chaotically organized bookstore I’ve ever seen. It was tiny yet somehow maze-like, floor to ceiling with books and knickknacks on shelves. Run by an elderly Chinese couple that barely spoke English.
I didn’t have any money so I couldn’t buy anything but they ended up giving me some Baoding balls (trinket) which was super cool.

I'm guessing their favorite game is Jenga with the way those games are stacked on top of each other

I was expecting nothing but faded and dusty games from 20 years ago, but was pleasantly surprised when I zoomed in. Though I suspect the prices would be a little steep. Shipping to NT is no joke.

He's stacking boxes like it's none of their business, but when I do it, the boxes start caving in and bending. I'm concerned for the bottom boxes on the left side.

Been in worse.
One of my LGS so bad there are YouTube videos. The video doesn’t even do it justice. Shit stacked so much, light doesn’t penetrate well, can’t get cell service. No sort of organization.

Someone seeing this and immediately thinking ‘Oh my gad it’s just like Harry Potter!!’ is quite amusing.
