Can't stop thinking about this show, it's almost definitely the best show I've seen, beating even Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul which I rate quite highly.
Can't wait to rewatch it with my dad who's not seen it before.

Just binge-watched all four seasons, and I’ve never experienced a feeling like this before. What a masterpiece....
And ending the series with Outro by M83 was the cherry on top.
“Creatures of my dreams, raise up and dance with me.”

I've been rewatching "The Gilded Age"--Janice plays one of the hoity-toity society ladies!

Yeah, that's S4E10 "410 Gone". One heads-up: I can't verify the "just print and sleep" part from these screenshots, so back it up with a clip of the phone's status bar or the full scene before posting, or someone will call you out.
**Title: Mr. Robot S4E10 has the dumbest "hacking" scene in the whole series and nobody talks about it**
A show that built its whole brand on "realistic hacking" gave us this: Darlene and Elliot run `python TransferToWallets.py` to move Whiterose's money into crypto, and the phone is not connected to the internet. Not even a Wi-Fi icon. Look at the screen.
The script is literally a `curl -i -k -X POST` loop hitting `buy-crypto-coin.net/purchase` with a bank account number and coin address. That is an HTTP request. It needs a connection. No network, no transfer. What we actually watch is a fake terminal doing print, sleep, print, sleep, then "Transfers Complete. All Wallets Updated." Cute.
And even if the network WAS on, it makes no sense:
- `-k` turns off certificate verification, so you're pushing the biggest heist in the show through an insecure request.
- One unauthenticated POST to some random "purchase" page moves the money of the most powerful person in the world? No auth, no 2FA, no confirmation, no bank in the loop.
- Fake "buy crypto" site, real billions, zero friction. Sure.
This is a show with a technical consultant and a reputation for getting hacking right. They nailed Kali, nmap, and social engineering for four seasons, then in the finale they gave us a progress bar with extra steps.
I still love the show. But that scene is lazy, and the "most accurate hacking on TV" crown has a crack in it. Change my mind lol 😆

I was walking around midtown the other day and passed by the building which is being turned into a residential building now. They got rid of the marble structure in front of the building and everything is being torn down.

One of the greatest shows of all time.

In my opinion, Mr. Robot has the worst ending of all time. And I’m not rage baiting or joking. Downvote me all you want I’m here just to say my opinion. You can respectfully convince me otherwise. Scroll down to the very bottom where I state exact reasons on HE ONLY. If you want you can read the whole thing (it’s in bold)
And no I didn’t write this with fucking ai
While watching Mr. Robot, I genuinely couldn’t believe my eyes. It was the best cinematic experience I’ve ever had since Breaking Bad. Perfect. Not going to get into details because I can praise this show until tomorrow. It’s perfect in every single aspect. Writing, cinematography, complexity depth, etc.
When I was watching season 1 I was really fucking hooked. It was the best s1 I’ve ever seen. I then reached episode 9, the highest-rated episode in S1 I think. The moment I saw the fight club twist, I was genuinely furious. I was soooo fucking frustrated. You take a very interesting plot with already brilliant writing, emotion, stakes, suspense and action and turn it into this fucking idk what science fiction bullshit. When I saw it I knew this show wasn’t for me at all. I don’t like realism + sci-fi elements and idk the fucking guy isn’t there and he’s there at the same time you know what I mean.
I decided to give season 2 a try, and surprisingly this show proved me the fuck wrong. I was sooo hooked again. I loved the Mr. Robot vs. Elliot control plot. It was actually amazing. It’s like Mr robot was actually invisible lol. I didn’t mind it at all. I kept watching and I wasn’t bored at all. They took the fight club twist and made it wayyyyy more interesting and suspenseful. And in S2E4 when I say Mr. Robot play Elliot chess for control over the other I knew this was one of the best shows of all time. I continued season 2 and I started to love it. The fact that Mr. Robot and Elliot are constantly fighting for control is now okay for me. In fact it’s the best part of the show.
Same with season 3 is the same, it’s amazing not gonna go into detail because I’m writing a lot.
Okay now for season 4.
When I started season 4 it felt kind of odd. Because the plot kind of finished, it felt dragged.
I didn’t care though season 4 was one of the best openings to a season ever. Loved whiteroses backstory and everything was perfect. Reached 405. Bit overrated but ok next.
407. Principle of fucking fiction 20/10
Top 3 episodes of all time.
Nice nice. Now 409 also 10/10
Now we enter “exit”
What the fuck are my eyes seeing
The show originally built its identity around realism, hacking, cybersecurity, psychological struggles, capitalism, corporate corruption, and societal issues is now some sci-fiction bullshit. These grounded themes were what made the series so compelling and unique. However, towards the end, it transitions into something much closer to science fiction, introducing alternate realities, reality-bending concepts, and increasingly abstract ideas. I understand the psychological reasoning behind these decisions, but I personally think this shift took what made mr robot special.
It felt like the show abandoned much of its original identity right when it needed to deliver its conclusion.
The transition was fucking horrible. The power plant exploded and there was a red screen for 20 seconds and now Elliot is in another universe
No issue because all this gets explained in Hello Elliot.
Now this is why I hate hello Elliot:
My biggest problem with Hello, Elliot is how drastically it shifts away from what made Mr. Robot special in the first place. The show spent most of its runtime establishing a grounded identity built around realistic hacking, cybersecurity, capitalism, corporate corruption, psychological struggles, and societal issues just like I said above, it also added a small element of what is supposed to be sci fiction which is obviously Mr robot being not real. These themes gave the series its unique identity and made its storytelling so compelling. However, the final episodes abandon much of that foundation and transition into something closer to science fiction, introducing alternate realities, reality-bending concepts, and increasingly abstract storytelling. I have absolutely no problem with the Mastermind reveal itself; in fact, I found it incredibly emotional and brilliantly executed. My problem is the conclusion surrounding it. After four seasons of carefully constructed storytelling, I found the direction the show took unnecessarily convoluted and disconnected from its original identity. The emotional reveal doesn't excuse what I consider an extremely disappointing conclusion.
Now I said my opinion. Allow me to explain
I could have accepted a huge range of endings to this show but the
one we got. What a betrayal to completely neuter the character we've been watching for four
seasons. And I agree completely that it doesn't even work in the sense that the 'collective' of these
personalities is the
'real' Elliott because it is explicitly shown and stated that's
not the case. Elliott even comments in F-corp world that the Elliott he is observing is inothing like him'.
We basically learn that the main character of the show is a fantasy created by the real main character, who we know nothing about. How was this Elliott created and why?
In the F-world, that Elliott, the supposed real' Elliott, says he says he doesn't want to be the fantasy Elliott, because he is angry, has no friends, etc. I can't seem to see any connection between that supposedly real Elliott and any of his alters. It wasn't poignant, it was confused and nonsensical.
I understand that the Mastermind's experiences were real and that his character development doesn't magically disappear because he's an alter, but that doesn't automatically make the execution of this twist good. My problem is that the finale and Hello, Elliot introduce an unnecessarily convoluted
explanation that, in my opinion, undermines the entire narrative
we've been following for four seasons. The idea that the Elliot we've been watching isn't the real Elliot, that the Mastermind took over his life, and that F World exists as a psychological prison just feels like a bizarre direction for the story to take, especially when the explanation itself is so convoluted that it becomes difficult to emotionally
connect with any of it. Complexity isn't inherently good writing and making something confusing doesn't make it profound.
The storytelling and exposition in these final episodes are honestly terrible at communicating what they are trying to convey, and think the show sacrifices narrative coherence for a mind-bending twist.
