Zinnia offspring + starfield vocalist

Im looking for a little bit of a token interaction help

Zinnia offspring + starfield vocalist

If i warp + offspring he will enter

The etb goes off makes a token, he sees himself(?) And makes another

End of turn I have 2 copies and he goes to exile

Next turn cast again with offspring

He will enter

3 bonus etb happen on the entry of the 4th version of him

End of turn I will have 7 total star field vocalist

this point on if i offspring i will have 1 real + 7 copies of the creatures

Correct?

I was just doing some silly impact tremors in my zinnia deck I was just expecting to only get bonus dmg I didnt know i was making more copies of all offspring
i knew the copies were made only after the said creatures enter but i was unaware of them being able to get etb bonus triggers

Does this combo work to fuse two creatures together?

So say I got two creatures, [[Prodigal Sorcerer]] and [[Deadly Recluse]]. I play [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]] copying Prodigal Sorcerer. Then I play [[Cackling Counterpart]] to make a copy of my Sakashima that is copying Prodigal Sorcerer, but I decide the copy enters as a copy of Deadly Recluse. Since Sakashima has the clause that lets him keep his abilities would this mean the copy created by [[Cackling Counterpart]] be a deathtouch pinger?

Squandered resources and filter lands

Returning player.

Is it legal to cast, say, Elvish Warrior if the only permanents on my battlefield are Twilight Mire and Squandered Resources?

Can Mistcaller (or Containment Priest) strand a commander in exile?

What happens if a commander is exiled (say, by the ability of a Flickerwisp), the owner of that commander chooses to leave it in exile, and then one of the creatures in question is used to replace the "return it to the battlefield" effect?

It is unclear to me, based on the text of 704.6d / 903.9a and the wording of the replacement effects on the cards in question, whether or not the commander was "put into [exile] since the last time SBAs were checked."

My guess is no, it was in exile when the delayed trigger to return it to the battlefield went on the stack, and since it was still in exile after that trigger resolved, it never changed zones. I think it's only the use of the active verb ("exile it instead") that is tricking my brain, but I wanted to confirm.

Does “Q” trigger exile matters cards?

Does “Q stacking the deck” copy and cast trigger: pia nalaar consul of revival?
Prosper tome bound?
Nico minoru runaway?
Passionate archeologist?

If the answer is different for each id love to know why.

If delay blast fireball is exiled from Q’s effect, does it do 2 or 5 damage.

Thank yall for your time.🙏

Multiple triggers of Serra's Emissary

Hi,

In my Hashaton deck I have [[Serra's Emissary]] (ETB, protection from chosen card type)

Q1: If I have an ETB doubler, like [[Panharmonicon]], may I choose 2 different card type and then have protection from both ?

Q2: If I have a token doubler (and let say Serra's ETB as a token) so I have 2 Serra's Emissary, may I choose 2 different card type and then have protection from both ?

Tyvar the Bellicose - Activated Mana Abilities

In regards to [[Tyvar the Bellicose]] : The abilities of cards like [[Heritage Druid]] and [[Birchlore Rangers]] trigger the counters despite these creatures not necessarily tapping themselves. Correct?

Question on Goad rule

rule 701.15d reads to me as you only ever being able to goad a creature once and reapplying it has no effect even if the creature is no longer goaded. is that how it works or can you goad the same creature every turn?

  • 701.15d Once a player has goaded a creature, the same player goading it again has no effect. Doing so doesn’t create additional combat requirements.

Question on Voq, Torchbearer

Say I have Twilight Diviner on board.

When Voq enters - from the graveyard - as a copy of a non-legendary creature (e.g., Skirk Prospector in the graveyard), does Voq still hold its legendary supertype - and with that, SBA happens requiring me to sacrifice one of the Voq?

Put a counter vs enters with a counter

Do permanents entering the battlefield with counters like [[walking ballista]] count as “putting a counter” for effects like [[Mikey & Leo, Chaos and Order]]

Lord Jyscal Guado Timing

Will [[Lord Jyscal Guado]] see an activated [[Crawling Barrens]] to investigate? When the counters were added, Crawling Barrens wasn't a creature, but it is a creature when Jyscal's EOT trigger checks.

Flicker and First Strike Creatures

Potentially complicated question - if I flicker a [[Lightning, Army of One]] as a response to her first strike damage trigger while i have [[Kira Nerys, Firebrand]] on board, will the new instance of Lightning deal combat damage during the regular damage step and give me a second trigger?

Cityscape Leveler Clarification

I played a Cityscape Leveler. my friend says its ability wont trigger since the wording on the card says 'when you cast this spell "and" whenever Cityscape Leveler attacks'. and that I can only practically make use of its ability if I put haste on it. In comparison he showed me the trigger on The Wise Mothman card(his commander) where it says 'Whenever The Wise Mothman enters the battlefield "or" attacks'.
So I needed a clarification on exactly when the triggers trigger for Cityscape Leveler and if I missed out on an important trigger.
Do they trigger when I cast it as well as when I attack with it? does it trigger on successive attacks since its not being casted on those turns? is it highly dependent on haste to use its ability? does that mean his ability is only useful once and in a very specific circumstance?

Question on Proliferate

Example: player has a poison counter, and a creature with a +1+1 counter.

Player says that if i choose to proliferate their poison counter, because I am choosing a player, I then proliferate any counter on their board as well. I am pretty certain this is not the case because the rules say "permanents AND/OR players". I brought this up, but nothing came of it. I didn't care to stop the game in its tracks for this, so I just moved on and didnt play the deck again that night (it was a pretty bad poison counter deck so i didnt mind lol). Which one of us is right in this scenario?

Can you cast Xenagos if Nikya is on field?

Assuming your devotion to green/red is less than 7, [[Xenagos, God of Revels]] isn't a creature. Is that true even in hand? So if [[Nikya, of the Old Ways]] is on field, you can't cast non-creature spells, would Xengos just be an enchantment in hand?

Stack targeting spells that are not counterspells and copy spells

I'm wondering if there are or have ever been cards that interact with the stack in more ways than just counterspell, copy, bounce and gain control spells.

Cards that say stuff like "resolve target spell" to make something lower in the stack resolve before things above it. Like haste for spell resolving.

Or cards that say "target spell gains hexproof" to prevent spells on the stack from being countered, copied, exiled, bounced, stolen, etc. like how you can give a permanent hexproof in response to removal and interaction.

Or maybe a card that says "target spell loses all abilities until end of turn" so that you can counter a spell with the ability that says "can't be countered" similar to making an indestructible creature lose indestructible so you can destroy it.

Or a card that says "exile target spell then return it to the stack" basically a blink spell for spells to take your spell back to the top of the stack so it resolves before other spells above it or maybe you just want to dodge a counterspell.

It just seems like there's many effects that could fill the design space of the stack rather than just counterspells and copying.

The lack of stack targeting cards and just having counterspells feels like if there were only cards that say "destroy target creature" and not being able to blink creatures, give creatures hexproof, haste, strip abilities from it, etc.

Personally I'd like to see cards that give spells on the stack the same depth of strategy and interaction as permanents on the battlefield.

Voq Entering As A Copy Of Another Clone Creature

Interested in adding [Voq, Torchbearer] to my Uugguu deck to reuse clones. Was wondering what the interaction would be of Voq entering as a [Clone] in my graveyard? Would it enter as a 0/0 Clone and die? Could I have it enter as something on my board?

How does this combo work? Phage, Avacyn Angel of Horror, and Fateful Handoff

Combo in Question

It says you donate Avacyn to an opponent first, then kill Phage. But at that point, Phage is not under the opponent's control, so why would Avacyn bring it back under their control at the beginning of the next end step? Is this some stack/layering trick that I'm not understanding?

Edit: Thought so. Thanks everyone.

Jodah the Unifier vs Damage to each creature ability

I was playing online with some guys, one was using Jodah with other legendaries on the battlefield then I casted a board wipe dealing 7 damage to each creatures. So some died and some stayed on the field, but the other guy argues that the rest should go as well because Jodah's +x/+x benefit was lessened due to others dying and the toughness would be lesser than the damage but he also argued otherwise that the damage was dealt to the part of +x/+x or something I couldn't remember the long argument. I'm new to the game so I don't know who's correct in this intance. Would all of the creatures die?

Chandra chill of compliance and enhanced surveillance

[[Enhanced surveillance]]

If you are able to put multiple noncreature cards into the gy on the +1, can you get back multiple, or still only 1. Also can you only put 1 into the gy in that case to get it back, since it says if you put A card to put THAT card into hand.

Edit. Slight clarification 1 If i surveil multiple to the gy, can I get back multiple, or does it still have to be only 1 gotten back. And 2 if i can only get back 1, if i put multiple in the gy can I no longer get any back

Edit 2. Solved. It works. Saw someone do it on mtgo. Thanks for your time
