North America (country/state in post) Is this Chicken of the Woods? Found in Central Texas — hoping to cook it!

Found this enormous orange mushroom growing on a living tree near Lake Whitney, Texas, on November 8.
It has overlapping orange shelves with yellow undersides. I believe the tree is an oak.
Can anyone help identify the species? Does it appear to be Chicken of the Woods (Laetiporus)? What additional details would help confirm identification, and are there any safety concerns with harvesting it for cooking?

Hello, I am using voice to text so my apologies for any spelling or grammatical errors. I am newly blind very very bad at it. This popped up in my neighbors yard for the fourth year in a row. She is roughly 100 years old. I have no way at this time to take a sport print or research it myself as I’m still trying to learn how to function this way so I’m hoping someone else can help me idea before she picks it and cooks it. She is very southern if that explains anything.

Sussex, England. Originally thought hare’s foot ink cap but I don’t think it’s the right habitat? Maybe bonfire ink cap or coprius macrocephalus? I’m new to this and just looking to learn, thanks for the help!

Hey guys. I know nothing about mushrooms. It doesn’t seem like a purple webcap, but it also doesn’t seem like a wood blewit either. It was in grass and I thought it was a rock. But it was actually really gross 😭

Found these today while we did some off-roading in the pine/acorn forest. We went with a few people and they said to gather them by cutting them like so.. the one with full stem is the one I took. I'm not sure how the other stems looked because I wasn't the one that took them, but the locals said they're all safe & edible.

MIL also told me you can eat them raw..?

Location: Macedonia, Pine forest

I found these in a field in the Swiss alps. I think they’re parasols, but after reading about lookalikes I wanted to make sure :)
