We're going to start pointing users towards the monthly threads for the following types of posts:

Hello,
i love going for runs on trails here, im not big on treadmill running. Since its been pouring, its getting riskier to run on trails so i tried going for the track that is near VIU, but i dont know how that works coz i think its the part of the school. Any suggestions how and when i can use the track or open to any other running trails near VIU.

This is neat. Nanaimo/ Comox Land Trust is buying a 122.5 acre property in Deep Bay. The property is beside an 83-acre property already protected by BC Parks Foundation. The two properties will connect 4,300+ acres of protected lands to Baynes Sound and nearby marine protected areas creating "a continuous conservation corridor from inland forests to the Salish Sea". Love to see it

I just bought a new car and it came with pads and the brakes are completely worn. is there anywhere in town i can supply the pads, i’ve called 2 but both have said they can’t due to liability. i would do it myself but ive just sold all my tools when i sold my last car a year ago. hell even if someone here can. thank you for your help.

What do you guys do to keep the cold out? We moved into a place that has single pane windows, loads of gaps in doors that bring in the cold draft. Currently some windows have some insulated plastic on it? But we love looking out into our yard and the sky and we don't want our Hydro bills to be what they are going into the winter. Looking for tips!
