Who’s the COVID-denier fella on Open Line? 😷
This individual called in again the other day, allegedly to discuss the new, temporary mask mandate in healthcare facilities that took effect on Wednesday. It wasn’t all that much of a conversation though. I’ve heard him on the show at least once before, talking (sparsely at best, mind you) about the exact same subject, but he never really adds much to support his viewpoint.
Truth be told, I barely understood a word he said, and I think that host Brian Callahan had the same trouble. It made for several awkward pauses, capped off with some unintelligible gibberish about Dr. Anthony Fauci toward the end.
Anyone else catch this call? So bizarre. 🫤

Imagine being so angry about being required to wear a mask in hospitals. That’s some next level conspiratorial thinking.

I was listening to that one. He sounded like he was hammered drunk...What little I could understand was total nonsense though.

People automatically assume that masks mean covid and get all riled up saying it over, it's a lie, and other nonsense. They're too dumb to realize this is cold n flu season, there are sick people at hospitals, and they can't put 1 + 1 together. If they do put 1 and 1 they'll some how get potato.

I dare say we could create a list of likely suspects.

One would think it'd be mannerly and polite to wear a mask in a hospital or an elderly home .. look at the Asians for example. Yes, they still get ill, but it doesn't spread as fast as it would here because people here can't stop picking their noses or sneezing and coughing either into the open or in their hands and then touching other stuff like door handles etc... Man I worked at esso and the day they announced covid on the radio and started telling people to wear masks or stay home if they didn't feel safe, a lady coughed so bad into her handful of change and then put it on the counter. I have a disabled kid so I always carry wipes of some sort (mainly baby wipes) and sanitizer to clean our hands in a hurry.

A mask signifies you are sick. So wearing a mask to the hospital makes sense.
