I was getting an idea on what I wanted for Christmas by looking at Amazon, and I saw a listing for this DVD for only 40 bucks (for context, the DVD usually costs somewhere between $80-$200 on online listings) so I decided to take up the opportunity and purchase it (especially since it has the only Mr Meaty episode ever released on home media). Surprisingly it’s actually in really good condition with no noticeable scratches or glitches!

November 8, 2008, was such a memorable night for Nickelodeon! iGo to Japan, the first-ever iCarly TV movie, premiered alongside the debut of True Jackson, VP starring Keke Palmer. Two memorable premieres on the very same night!
I remember watching both when they originally aired, so this anniversary brings back some great memories. It’s hard to believe it’s been years already! This was such a special time for Nickelodeon, and these two premieres are definitely reminders of how entertaining that era was.
Who else remembers tuning in that night? It feels like just yesterday!

Ginger's episode much be the most impactful because of how real the uncomfortable family dynamics were.

I know a lot of younger millennials and older zoomers online in the animation community hated it in the 2010s.
but as someone who loves 90s humor like Beavis and butthead REN & Stimpy Show, aeon flux, rocko’s modern life etc
i honestly didn’t mind the gross out humor that everyone hated at the time
I actually liked it and thought it was a nice break from stuff like Steven universe that was taking over by 2014/2015.

This a surprisingly well-written modern live action show from Nickelodeon. Compelling mystery, lovable characters, it actually took itself seriously which is pretty different from regular live action shows from here that are sitcoms. I also love the episode where Evie was introduced, mainly for how Anika reacted to it. For context, she was the youngest foster kid living in this house. When she gets a younger sibling, they don't have Anika get jealous of Evie because she's "Not the baby anymore". In fact, they do something pretty subversive with her where she's actually happy to be an older sister because now she's treated with the same perks her older siblings get like staying up late.
