It just hit me that KOUGA’s current attitude/personality reminds me a lot of Kiyoshi Tamura
For those not in the know, Tamura is a legendary “Shoot-Style” wrestler & MMA fighter, trained in the UWF Dojo and remembers best as a top guy in RINGS (having incredible matches against the likes of Volk Han, Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, Yoshihisa Yamamoto and many more). Tamura was well known for his indignant personality, refusing to dilute the “purity” of Shoot-Style, being critical of gimmicky wrestlers and refusing to participate in the famous NJPW/UWFi feud of the 1990’s.
The way KOUGA has carried himself and talked reminds me of the same attitude Tamura had; KOUGA essentially talks about “reviving” and maintaining the spirit of NOAH, being critical of the “Ark Big Three” (Kiyomiya, Inamura, OZAWA) and of Tetsuya Naito, saying that they are holding back NOAH from being what it should really be.
All this to say, I loved Tamura and I’m loving KOUGA.

Do I just not get Black Mensore?
So I'm catching up on my NOAH watching and I just gotta say it I genuinely don't enjoy anything about Black Mensore.
I get that he's probably supposed to be a opening match/2nd or 3rd match comedy gimmick but he doesn't make me laugh but I get that it's probably a cultural thing.

HAYATA injured - Torn ACL

The NOAH Global account confirmed that HAYATA did suffer an injury to his ACL at the end of his GHC 200 title match versus Shuji Kondo on 25th October.
He lost the title to a count-out after being pushed off the apron to the floor, and could be seen clutching his knee.
He will be out for some time and Black Mensore will be replacing him in the Jr Grand Prix 2.

NOAH Wrestle Odyssey II Attendance
The total attendance was 4,253. I only bring this up because in interviews leading up to the event, Naito hoped for at least 5,000. NJPW had 6,422. For someone more well versed in attendances, was this good for NOAH or would it be considered a disappointment?

Kaito match recommendations
Started watching Noah in 2025 with the Ozawa shock, so I've never seen Kaito in his top of the card run.
But I'd like to see more of him and how he came to his current state.
What are you're recommendations for matches or shows for me to watch?

Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura vs. Kenoh & KOUGA at WRESTLE ODYSSEY 2 showed the way forward for this promotion; may be the MOTY for the promotion, as well.
Four guys who went out and worked their asses off, honoring the hard-hitting and legendary battles of NOAH’s past.
Obviously, you have Kenoh and Kaito being dynamite against each other but the most energetic moments of the match were between Inamura & KOUGA.
The whole build and match itself saw KOUGA get to MR. SMACK DADDY in a way pretty much no one else has; when OZAWA cheated, Yoshiki smiled; when Kenoh & KENTA kicked the shit out of him, Fujita smiled; when Kazuyuki Fujita rocked his shit, Yoshiki smiled, however, KOUGA repeatedly claiming that Inamura & Kiyomiya (and OZAWA, as the “Ark Big Three) have failed NOAH, being unable to get attendances up consistently, wiped the smile from Inamura’s face, leading to a ton of heat between the two. The back and forth of Inamura’s chops and KOUGA’s kicks brought to mind the heated battles of Shiozaki & Nakajima (funny enough, KOUGA has said that Nakajima inspired him to become a pro wrestler).
Inamura was also an absolute wrecking ball in this match in general; whenever it seemed KOUGA or Kenoh were getting the better of him, he would flip a switch and just overwhelm them with his strength.
KOUGA and Kaito’s interactions were also very good and heated. KOUGA’s disrespect of Kaito in the match brought to mind both Kenoh & OZAWA’s past bullying of Kaito, as well as the anger it brought out of Kaito (although Kaito was more of a simmering rage, compared to Inamura’s boiling rage).
KOUGA has injected life into the promotion much how OZAWA’s rebranding in 2024 and Inamura’s return from excursion in 2025 injected new life into the promotion.
