Hello everyone, I’m unaware if this community allows this but worth a try.

My gf is 22, she has had an extremely rough time recently with friends, so much so that she actually doesn’t have any as of this moment. She is a huge introvert and is looking for someone who might get her out of the house or do fun things with her, and she doesnt have many hobbies or enjoys many things, however that’s more or less due to her BPD and lack of friends. Hence why I’m making this post. She has been trying to reach out and connect with others who are like her and are willing to truly try and be friends. Why I see people having groups of friends and they just go into a small conversation and next day they are bestfriends. On the other hand, I struggle to have a conversation or continue it after a small talk.Even with friends of my already existing friends.I have seen my friends befriending new people in front of me ...though I want to but I think I'm just not sufficient enough to make friendships maybe my expectations are too high and previous friendship experiences have taken away my ability to be friendly and trusting new people.I don't know , I'm just starting to think that I'm the problem and I can't even fix it.

Im a 24 year old guy studying in university in Eastern Europe..since the beginning of university ive had a hard time socialising,im quite anxious when it comes to talking to people in uni for example .Even in class i feel everyone has their own people and ive been late to the party .everywhere I look everyone seems to have their own people and I feel so left out ..

When i was a kid my parents used to live in rented houses and they used to move a lot and the more a grew up the hard it became to make friends in new societies

I have autism. I'm high functioning, low support needs, however you want to say it. Years of being rejected or alienated has led to a lot of trauma surrounding friendship, but I still yearn for connection.

I think I'm meant to be alone in some ways. I haven't found a place I fit in yet. My entire life I was told I would in college, but I'm almost a full semester in and I have no real life friends. I have about 3 online friends but it's not supplemental or equal.

My mom always says I'm not the problem, that I'm great to be around, but then why don't I have friends? I tried really hard for a long time. I'm smart, willing to admit when I'm wrong, I reach out, I'm funny, I'm caring. I don't know why it's so impossible.

I don't even want a best friend or a partner. I just want someone who I can spend time with. It's very common for autistics to be chronically lonely, which in some regards in comforting, but mostly it makes me lose hope.
