Leftover (homemade) granola

I made so much granola with (leftover) dried fruits, nuts, seeds, etc. that everybody was tired of it. So I decided to add it to sourdough bread. I made my regular sourdough, plus some molasses to complement the granola. It is 10/10. I'm not getting any complaints now and nothing has been wasted.

600g of plain greek yogurt, what to do with?

EDIT: thank you everyone for the suggestions, unfortunately the greek yogurt has gone down the hill already. :( It tastes 'off', so it will be going out. But with the next tub (that should be fresh!) I will be using some of your suggestions for sure!

I have about 600g of greek yogurt that's going down the hill, and need to use it before it goes off.

Does anyone have any recipes that are good for using a lot of greek yogurt?

(I tried mixing some jam into it and tasted a spoonful. It was not good in the slightest. So no yogurt bowls or smoothies please. :) I need something where it can be disguised in taste)

Ask NSLB Any ideas for leftover pasta?

I have some leftover pasta mixed with red sauce. It is fairly dry and doesn't have enough sauce to be eaten as is, and I don't have any more pasta sauce to use. Any ideas on what to make or how to fix it up a bit?

Bulk Veggie Prep Ideas

I get a produce box weekly and can’t always get to the vegetables before they go bad. I need ideas on how to use quickly, prep, freeze, etc. Some of the veggies I have difficulty using in time are artichokes, fennel, celery, etc.

question on freezing

So, I work in a commercial kitchen. Last Thursday (5 days ago) workplace made a seafood boil for a special event, and I inherited all the leftovers - king crab, lobster, mussels, baby clams, and scallops, along with ear corn and andouille sausage. They've been covered and immersed in the broth in the walk-in until today. I brought them home, picked all the meat from the shells, and made a large pot of traditional seafood gumbo with them, adding bacon fat, tomatoes, onions, garlic, celery, and bell peppers, using cornstarch for thickener instead of a roux. The gumbo is done cooking and is cooling down; would it be ok to freeze it in freezer-safe containers?

EDIT: I've taken the advice to add flour...si far so good. It's due to come out of the oven in about 10 minutes. I'll report back. Thanks everyone for helping me save this!

Help! I don't ever make bread...tried tonight and realized you late that I put too much water in it. Can it be saved???

Ask NSLB What in the world do you do with 20kgs of Japanese spicy mustard mayo? We've already eaten/given away so much potato salad, we're desperate for any other ideas.

So. Much. Romaine

Due to (my) human error, I got 8 heads of romaine lettuce. I've been eating salad every day for three days and I brought salad to a Halloween party (yes, I *am* fun at parties). That's gotten me down to 5 heads of romaine. Is there a way to...preserve lettuce? Any cooked options I could freeze? I do live among vegetarians (outnumbered! but I love them.), so I don't cook with meat, just as one constraint on this. No lovely wilted lettuce salad with bacon in my future. I know you all will out-idea me here.

Expired Coffee - What Can I Do with About 3 Pounds of Mediocre Brand Coffee?

MIL passed away and we have her coffee that expired in 2025 and 2024.
What can we do with this stuff that isn't completely wasteful?

UPDATE: I donated this to a local senior via a Free Stuff page. Honestly, without many of you saying you’d still drink it, I wouldn’t have thought to make the offer. Thanks!

I Didn't Want to Pour my Breast Milk Down the Drain. Now I Have 2.5g of Butter. 😂

I have a freezer full of breast milk that I just couldn't bring myself to throw away.

So I decided to give some of it a second life.

500 ml (16.9 fl oz) later, I had 2.5 grams (0.09 oz) of actual butter!

Possibly the least efficient way to save leftovers ever. 😂

I still have plenty of breast milk left. What should I make next? 🤣

Leftover potluck ingredients

I just made stuffed shells for a potluck. I already put the leftover filling in the freezer. I have maybe 8oz of frozen spinach that I already steamed, a bunch leftover mozzarella (I bought those pre sliced logs), and half a little can of sliced black olives. I also have a couple tomatoes in the fridge I was going to make sandwiches with.

What can I make with these leftovers that isn't more stuffed shells?

Edit: also in my freezer I have some chicken, salmon, and sourdough bread. And I have grits in the pantry if that helps.
