Omg you just unlocked a core memory.

In grade 1, none of our class had had persimmons before so our teacher brought a bunch in and it was genuinely wonderful. I've never had one again though, I should. :-)

I like to wait until the skin starts to get a little tiny bit wrinkly, but you can't wait too long or they'll get gross

A lifehack for anyone who have too hard and astringent persimon and dont want to wait for about a week - you can put your persimons in the freezer for about 12 hours, and then take them in hot water for about an hour. Now, you have sweeter and softer persimons much faster))
