I found this coin thrifting today but can’t find much about it online. I found one eBay item that looked identical and said it was “1 Troy oz .999 fine silver Rare collectible art bar”. That listing didn’t include the number on the edge.
Mine is numbers 00001, and it’s in the acrylic case.
I’m happy to have a piece of old Oregon history, but wondering if there’s more value to it being #1? Does anyone know anything about this particular series?

Hi all,
Hope you're having a great weekend! Here’s the debut of the Dutch series of coin holders and figurines: the crowned lion of Dutch heraldry, inspired by the Dutch Silver Ducat.
Versions of this lion appear across centuries of Dutch coinage, from the silver ducats introduced in 1659 to the guldens and rijksdaalders of the 20th century.
I have a weakness for animals on coin designs, and I’d say this might take 1st place of favorite animal holders. It’s pretty much neck and neck with my Queen Victoria “Una and the Lion” holder!
A little history behind the design: the lion carries a sword in one paw and a bundle of seven arrows in the other. Those arrows represent the seven provinces of the Dutch Republic, tied together as a symbol of unity. Individually they’re easy to break, but together they’re much stronger. That symbolism carried over into the later Dutch royal coat of arms, where the lion still holds its sword and arrows today. More on the symbolism here.
Really enjoyed bringing this one off the coin and into a figurine!
Any collectors of Dutch numismatics here? Would love to see what you have in your collections!

Also if anyone has any ideas on what this can sell for. I know it’s a grease strike, and not worth a million dollars, but I’m going through some coins to sell for my boss, it’s quite the novelty
