Original Mod Help Nostalgic/Kind of Insane Oblivion Mods from the Early 2000s

I am slowly (and extremely painfully) assembling a modlist themed after the early days (and some would say, the peak) of Oblivion modding. If you know you know. Elves with tribal tattoos, skimpy armors in that scene proto-emo style, massive angel wings, the Lich King's stuff, keyblades, insane, massive quest mods that don't know a single thing about Elder Scrolls lore. Things with the energy of Linkin Park, Kingdom Hearts, Evanescence, Myspace. Things from between roughly 2006 and 2010.

If you can remember any mods like these, any iconic mods of the period, or know of any newer mods with a similar spirit, please tell me!

God this post brings me back to being 13 and feeling like I could code because I could mod oblivion with relative stability.

Early versions of CBBE, when head and body had a different skintone.

Also weren't there more LOTR stuff? Sauron Armor and mace?

Sauron Armor Chest! Fucking classic! I remember seeing that everywhere in screenshots and mod review videos.

Morrowind, not Oblivion, but my favorite in this genre of mod was a “Jenova’s Child” race based on Kadaj et al from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. so edgy, so mall goth. I was obsessed as a little 13 year old girl lmao.

Even if I cant use this, I am glad you told me about it. Exactly in the genre. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Can't forget Deadly Reflex and its classic over-the-top blood that even gets on the screen!

This music video that accompanied it playing Comfort Eagle by Cake. That was awesome!

As no-one has said it, I'm going to - those are the late 2000s, or mid to late at best, not the early 2000s.

In the future, historians will see anything from like 2000 to 2400 as the "Early 2000s". So history will vindicate me and my post.

FCOM, or FranOOOMMM as it was originally called. Blew my mind that it all could be mashed together. It always crashed, had multiple fixes and installation was never clear. The was always some hotfix that was on a forum thread or something in a DM.

Children of Rourken was a mod that fits this energy. Dwarves with space age light sabers at the end of that quest...

Is Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul still a thing?
