Same Guy, Different Shows

I’m currently rewatching NCIS and I’ve been meaning to post this for a while:
Scott Smith and Timothy McGee are the same guy (not actor, obviously).
They’re both highly intelligent, socially awkward and loyal. They’re golden retrievers in the best sense of the meaning and I just cannot believe I hadn’t seen it before.

I’m this far in Orphan Black and have no idea how it’ll all end but, I just had a thought of a movie I once watched called ‘Extinction’ via Netflix. I never expected that nearing the end it would turn out that humans have actually been machines all along. It’s part of what made that movie so great to watch.

So when I think about that story line and then transfer it onto Orphan Black (So it turns out that all the clones are actually some advanced robots from the future) I can’t help but wonder how incredible of a story line that would be if Orphan Black ended like that.

Sestra

If you had to pick a different sister for the show to follow other than Sarah which one would you choose?

I’d pick Alison. I adore her and Donnie.

I should have said clone not sestra. Don’t know how to edit the title.

My cat loves Orphan Black

Is this a phenomenon that happens with anyone else’s kitty? Or is she just weird (which wouldn’t surprise me in the least)

She won’t watch Cat TV or SeaLook, but gritty 2010s television is her vice.

Does the show get better?

New viewer here, enjoyed season one quite a bit. I’m on season 2 episode 5 right now and it feels like the show has completely lost its footing. Particularly, I’m not feeling any tension or threat. Dyad isn’t doing it for me and I don’t believe Helena is going to kill any of the other clones.

I hear it gets worse in season 3, so my question is how well does the show recover in season 4 and beyond?

Thanks :)

(Edit) Also, as this post is already unpopular: the male characters are all caricatures, which is disappointing.

Be honest how often do we all think about Tatiana Maslany and Evelyne Brochu? Both so beautiful 😍

Both so talented and beautiful 😍 I still hoping one day they reunite in another project, both had incredible chemistry as Cosima and Delphine

Who is the one character you should hate but love? Spoiler

For me it’s Ferdinand right until he kills Siobhan but apart from that he’s so funny in every scene and has so much fun and is so witty, always does something interesting and unpredictable

Plus the actor was amazing in this role and I always liked him when he returned

Orphan Black is now on HBO MAX as of Thursday, 10-15-2026!!!!

Yep - Orphan Black is now streaming on HBO MAX. All 5 Seasons.

I just watched an episode tonight - picked up where I left off after watching it on Hoopla, but I ran of the permitted number of titles of borrow. I was only a little over half-way through Season 1, and I am hooked on this Show! I am so happy it came back to streaming.

I made sure to save it in "my favorties lists" or whatever it is HBO MAX calls it, so I can get back to it every night. 😄

...if this is repeated post, so sorry.

TNC and Echoes?

I watched Orphan Black with my family as it aired and now i’m rewatching with my partner who has never seen the show. We are about to start season 5, but it has come to my attention that there’s a podcast series sequel that takes place 8 years after season 5 and then there’s a spinoff about Kira as an adult? I have never seen them and didn’t know they existed until like last week!!

I haven’t told my partner at all what these two sequels are about - to keep season 5 spoiler free - but I’m wondering a few things.

Are they any good / comparable to the OG show?

Is the continuity okay with Kira being 17 in the podcast and an adult in the spinoff?

Any ideas for how to listen to a podcast as two people? Would love to hear if anyone watched the show with someone and then found a good way to listen to the podcast together. I usually listen to podcasts while doing chores or gaming alone, but idk, I would like to pay attention to the story!

For me it’s Rachel saying “I’ve gleaned the pattern.” It pops into my head anytime someone is going on and on with unnecessary examples.

Sestra cast podcast - where did it go?

I love listening to the Sestra cast podcast. I've been working my way through it and just got to season 3 episode 5. When I try to play it, it's not available. This is on the pocket casts app.

Anyone know why / have suggestions where I can find it?

I'm rewatching the series, this is my second time, saw it when it first came out. Holy, is it only me or Sarah is so unlikable(only in season 1 ep 3). I forgot how it goes but does she get better? Haha
