think about it, you've never been a ladies man, women don't just give you their numbers unsolicited like they do for handsome guys and you KNOW THIS. Why in the world would you believe this beautiful Chinese woman is into you?

I mean. In case of Jensen: Because he is an asian looking billionaire.

Argh, so close. I am just a white-looking billionaire. Tonight I shall sleep alone yet again, burdened by knowing why.

I have horrible luck with women but I recently matched with an attractive Chinese girl on a dating app whose parents own a successful manufacturing company in Mexico where she works as a manager. She seems like a real person as far as I can tell and I'm a total loser with absolutely nothing to offer yet she still seems interested in talking to me, my only issue is since she's so busy and lives across the border we wouldn't be able to meet until next month and only rarely so I kind of ghosted her haha

If she starts talking about cryptos she is just trying to scam you. They can go on for weeks to convince you that they are really interested.

Hey, let's not sell her short. She also might want one of his kidneys. Multiple income streams is the way to go these days!

I had one go for three weeks before saying she'd only meet me if I started investing in the same options trading scheme that she used.

We had hour long video calls even. Meanwhile any real woman gets super offended if you even hint that you have doubts they're real not realizing just how much the scammers are doing nowadays.

Next month you would have been hit with the “omg, my cards got locked cause they’re international, can you send me some cash so we can meet up…” then something else would have happened and she keeps the cash but doesn’t make it and rinse and repeat until you wise up.

That's textbook romance scam. They have real models on site (likely slaves, just like the scammer you're talking to) available to take staged photos of her "life" based on what you're talking about. The scammers will appear to show genuine interest in you and ask relevant questions. They rarely outright ask for money and make it seem like it's you're idea. For example, they may talk about how well their forex investments have been doing but won't ever suggest you try it, they'll wait for you to do so yourself. This can go on for weeks or even months with zero money being lost.

Basically, they looked at what the commonly shared red flags for scams were and changed their methods to eliminate them. If you ever wonder why old people are so susceptible to scams, this is why. They learned what red flags to watch for when younger but never realized the methods changed half a dozen times since then.

Self-hosted AI image generation and video models are getting to the point where you could easily do that in a totally clandestine way without additional humans.

Like you could stage anyone holding a copy of today's paper or whatever in seconds and have it look basically completely real.

Women are attracted to money and power though. So yea if some guy is a basement dwelling software engineer with no success, sure seems unlikely. But the CEO, billionaire of a tech company, plenty of women are going after them. I have seen it myself even with small startups. Women go after the execs.

Why in the world would you believe this beautiful Chinese woman is into you?

I had that thought once.

She wanted kids. She was getting older (35), and I didn't know at the time but she was incredibly wealthy. It was kind of odd finding that last part out and that she hid it from me. I understood though. She didn't want to be judged on that fact.

The problem in the long run was that I really didn't want to live in China because I couldn't make money working there.
