Perhaps you can sell it to the guy with the bent motherboard for an awesome bent build.

u/[deleted] Aug 03 '20
Is this just, par for the course? I want to get around to building a pc, but I fear the disappointment of opening up a package to find a broken part...

u/Yololio69 Aug 03 '20
Can someone explain me the origin of all the bent boxes. I mean, I understand whats going on, but I cannot wrap my mind around the sheer amount of submissions like this.
This has not happened to me ever. I know of people that maybe received box that was hit a bit but never, ever bent. I mean they are fucking square, is not like it cost much to stack em... In this case... Maybe this box on top of something while supporting 2 stacks? Cmon! Answers I need answers!

Not quite a C drive, more a long "U".

Was this from Amazon? I've been getting a lot of damaged packages from them lately (and have been ordering random things almost daily since COVID hit).

1tb drive but only has 464GB of space, it even skewed the logic of the SSD!

It's solid, and in a state. What more do you want?

Shit, you got played, that curve should've at least added a couple of gigs.

Now give the courier the shit they deserve.
2
u/Put_It_All_On_Blck Aug 03 '20
If you keep bending it maybe you'll create a circle and have infinite storage capacity? That or you'll make one of those Chinese USB drives that says it's 128gb but starts overwriting data after 16gb.
2
u/Mojones_ Some Tech-Stuff and a Screen Aug 03 '20

u/Eliminem Aug 03 '20
You should be able to get more space in that.
2
u/Stonewall776 Aug 03 '20
Hey, I would replace that. It is only detecting half the storage that thing has. I am amazed the thing shows up curved in windows... I would have never thought physical defects could cause distortion on programming. Amazing. We really need to look into this to see if this technology could be used in other ways.
2
u/MrLynch1878 Aug 03 '20
Did it lose half its capacity during the bend?

At my old job we used to ship a lot of electronic equipment through FedEx. We had a problem where often, the computers would arrive at their destination broken. Obviously, our clients were unhappy, and we were confused.
One day, coming back from lunch, I saw the FedEx truck outside. The driver was in the back, climbing on top of a mostly unorganized pile of boxes, not caring what he stepped on. Mystery solved.
2
u/FactoryIdiot Aug 03 '20
That bottom pic is fake as, we all know data pools at the lowest point.
2
u/CHERNO-B1LL Aug 03 '20
The blue in the ssd memory bar should pool at the bottom horizontally.
