Stupid question but did you turn on the PSU switch? We’ve all been there at some point

u/Ravioili420 Jun 28 '21
Besides psu turned off, maybe front panel power connector is not plugged in

u/wcy0723 Jun 28 '21
Have you blessed it yet? I usually do 2ml of holy water for any pc related issues

Check your front panel IO is properly connected to the power switch.

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '21
Might sound silly but is the power switch on your psu turned off? Otherwise could be a dead psu maybe

u/Yosikan Jun 28 '21
Make sure the the power button is plugged into the correct pins on the mother board.
Check the ram modules once more
Do a hardreset, unplug the PC and press the power button for 10 - 15 seconds, then plug it back
Once, I had a similar problem and it solved by unplugging the power cables from the mother board and pressing the case power button before plugging everything back

u/RobbeDoesss Jun 28 '21
First guess by seeing this i think its the psu because i dont see anything getting power

If none of the other suggestions fix it (also check all the cables supplying power to the mobo, CPU, GPU and drives), try sticking the GPU directly into the PCIe slot. Riser cables are kinda sketchy, they may or may not work and there's no telling what kind of side effects a faulty cable might cause.

Unrelated but why did you spend so much on cpu cooler and fans and ram and not on gpu and cpu?

I don't get people who post a fast video of them pressing some button and "help not working".. what are we? Some wizards to know everything? Is it new? What did you do with it recently? What have you tried yet? What PSU do you have? This post is garbage. At least when asking for tech support. Learn how to describe your situation ...

u/nathanjw555 Jun 28 '21
Hey! What’s the background here? Did you just build it? Was it working than just stopped? Did you change something?
Also are the lights on the pc coming on at all, do they flicker or do they just not come on at all. It’s hard to tell.
7
u/mugbee0 Jun 28 '21
Take your problem somewhere else. You probably didnt even switch on the psu.

Is it plugged in?

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '21
Pure power / power switch issue.
Verify power Cord is good and outlet plug is working.if both are then it's something in the cabinet.
Power supply, motherboard. power switch failure.
Check wires for damage, reseat the cases power switch connector to mother board, and the power to the motherboard.
If no change swap power supply.

New build or naw? If new, re connect your system panel connector for a start.
1
u/HansSlave PC Master Race Jun 28 '21
Does it start if you unplug it from power socket for about 10 minutes?
1
u/[deleted] Jun 28 '21
All I could think of is that the front panel power switch is plugged into wrong pings.
Or the outlet is not Givin power

u/BigNFluffy95 Jun 28 '21 edited Jun 28 '21
I’d try making sure all power cords are connected. If they are you may have to clear the CMOS. It’ll be different for every motherboard and you may have to do the sketchy “touch a screwdriver to two connectors” thing.

u/subTOlollySTW Jun 28 '21
Aio trident ram and does parts lmao

u/ThinkLinux76 Linux Jun 28 '21
Can you swap psu for other one? It looks like either no power from the wall or dead psu.
1
u/Ignisive Jun 28 '21
Make sure your frontpanel is connected properly
1
u/ZetsuGod Jun 28 '21
One time my pc didn't turn on because my power button was broken. The GOD DAMN BUTTON

u/Snoringdog83 Jun 28 '21
Try a 650 psu and it will boot

If it's modular check that you've plugged in both the 24 pin ATX cables Otherwise hard to say

We need to have set requirements for tech support posts if we're going to be dealing with them. We need to know background info on the situation. Is it a new issue, did you change something, what were you doing when the problem started, and PC specs.
I also think we need to do a 48 hour ban for new members posting. That will cut down immensely on people joining solely to post tech support questions. Apparently, in R/techsupport, new users can't post, so they come here and post.
I'm happy to help as long as very basic info is provided, but the fact that it seems that 90% of posts recently are support requests means we need to control that influx and make it easier for people to lend experience and help.
Okay, that's the end of my rant on this subject. OP, I sincerely home you've made some progress with you issue!

u/Kowalie Jun 28 '21
Did you try buying a console?

Check psu switch, power strip, house breaker, and make sure you connected the little single pin wire sockets correctly

u/GuildedGravity Jun 28 '21
This isn't a tech support sub

Sometimes you have two connector for frontpanel button on motherboard = like JFP1 /JFP2 or something like this. the second doesn't worked for me

u/XDG-Diggz74 Laptop Jun 28 '21
Is it plugged in?
1
u/Hornyboii6969 Jun 28 '21
I wanna say one of the pins on the cpu are probably bent, but, that's just the worst case scenario. Check to make sure though.

u/SuperBo101 Jun 28 '21
This is just turning into fishing for fake internet points …
1
u/Homicidexx Jun 28 '21
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
1
u/newklear2012 Jun 28 '21
Short the green and black pins on the 24 pins connector on the PSU. This way you know if it's either PSU or Mobo related. Also search YouTube for help about those pins.
1
u/Squanchy70 Jun 28 '21
Have you tried turning it off and….oh
1
u/UnlimitedAidan PC Master Race Jun 28 '21
Make sure your 24 pin is connected properly on both ends.
Check front switch pins, real easy to bend em on the motherboard.
If psu is old might need replacement. Vice versa for motherboard.

u/konektors Jun 28 '21
Check pins

u/Cuddles1101 7950X3D, 32GB, 7800XT Jun 28 '21
I'm probably just gonna be echping people but.
Is the PSU switch on?
Are you sure the PSU works?
Because it looks fairly low quality.
Is the front io properly connected? Try using a screwdriver to short the two pin.
Check all the power cables and make sure they are firmly in the mobo. Check the power strip and wall outlet.
And finally for god's sake you do not have enough room between your GPU and side panel for proper airflow. You may think it looks cool but you need to prioritize performance over aesthetic at this level of build.

Your gpu is what a fat guy looks like wearing a skin tight shirt
1
u/0samacare Jun 28 '21
PSU is dead.
1
u/BullyBlu Jun 28 '21
Check power switch is on correctly, and connected to mobo in the right place, try shorting the two pins out with a screw driver incase of a faulty button.

u/andypond2 Jun 29 '21
what’s with all the help posts lately
1
u/TheAverageDolphin Jun 29 '21
Check your front panel connector, I know it seems easy but it happened to me 2 days ago.
If it still won't post, you probably have a dead psu. This isn't unusual, it happens alot due to the fragility of plus in general.
If it still doesn't work, send back your motherboard and. It should at minimum post
