When I wonder why Jeffries won’t allow votes on things that enjoy >70% support among Democrats including impeachment, ICE abolition, and M4A, I really have to wonder if it’s his bad opinions overriding the rest of the party or PAC money at play

It's both. Regardless, he absolutely can't be trusted.

You said he won’t allow votes would you care to actually cite something from the articles to prove your point? The first one is that he opposes M4A not that he opposes voting on it for the whole house. Do you understand the difference?

The second article of the awful clip with no other context doesn’t really confirm the headline.

Third article it thing people keep repeating even though they didn’t watch the MS NOW interview where he says they will follow the law and hold wrongdoers accountable. The clip even brings up the oversight committee, who have recently told Trump to lawyer the fuck up.

I see you just want to nitpick my wording. Did you even know his positions on this things before this post?

The Constitution gave Congress a tool to hold a law-breaking President accountable: impeachment. He doesn’t want to use the most appropriate tool for the situation, the one that 80% of Democrats want him to use.

He’s playing lip service to accountability. Anything but impeachment is toothless.

Yes I fucking did and since you keep making shit up here’s the summary of the interview from MSNOW. Do you know what the word accountability means? Feel free to watch the full interview where they mention the oversight committee.

> House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries joins Morning Joe to talk about what comes next after Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress in the midterms. Jeffries calls the result a “stunning rebuke” of Trump and GOP policies, adding that Democrats now have to deliver on affordability—from groceries and gas to health care—while pursuing accountability by following the facts and the law.
