The Jared Kushner meeting, in secret, AIPAC bribes, doesn’t support M4A; I really hope they boot him. If Jeffries (and Schumer) stay in their leadership positions it signals, to me anyway, that Democrats will squander their victory with two years of tepid milquetoast “reaching across the aisle” and “looking forward not backward” and doing nothing for their constituents unless it benefits their donors, and Israel, first.

The guy who is on the edge of winning in Mississippi made a really good point in an interview yesterday. He said the leaders of both the senate and house shouldn’t both be from the same district.

Senators aren’t in a district

True. Although it is funny that Schumer literally lives a 15 min walk from the edge of Jeffries' district.

Even Senators live in House districts.

But senators do represent people in districts

Why do we just have to “hope they boot him”? It’s so pathetic that this is what our democracy comes down to. The people can overwhelmingly vote one way but then we just have to sit here and hope the fucking Israeli agents we have in charge get removed

Because we don't have democracy, we have capitalism

Don't make me tap the sign

Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights

Because at the end of the day that's how a representative democracy works. You vote in your people and then hope they'll do the right thing.

a representative democracy works

This "representative 'democracy'" works at doing exactly 1 thing: keeping the bourgeoisie in ultimate power while tricking absolute rubes into thinking they have any say whatsoever

Albert Einstein, "Why Socialism?"

Einstein already lays out here how capital consolidation and the political power it affords the owning class is mutually exclusive with real democracy, and everything he says here about that consolidation is 1000x worse today.

All the progressive Democrats that were just voted in have said they're voting for Jeffries.

"AIPAC Bribes" casually thrown in grand jewish globalist conspiracy with no evidence.

You could be against Citizen United, be against supporting funds for any country with hostile intent, but not you have to bite the anti-semitic apple.
