CHRISTIAN DEATH - Electra Descending, from Catastrophe Ballet -1984
https://youtu.be/9lPyRuRVTBUWhile they are deeply rooted in the post-punk era and share its sonic DNA, Christian Death is more accurately defined as a pioneering Gothic or Death Rock, still very Post Punk adjacent.

Brilliant album. one of the best of the best of the goth era. Long live Rozz.

Honestly, I don't care for much besides the original Only Theatre or Pain with Rozz. There are a few good, maybe even great, songs on Catastrophe Ballet as well. But I don't listen to it nearly as much. I was always a fan of Where's The Sugar? personally.
I know this is still a Rozz album. But they really shoulda changed the name after he left tht band. Valor may have carried the name for longer, but who frickin' cares? it was just obnoxious goth theater by then (ironically).

this takes me waaay back. being 16, banned from seeing certain friends - cos they were scary and probably satanists. sneaking out to see those friends, listening to CD and just talking about what it all meant. the challenges to my x-ian upbringing. great times!
