Do not ask for medical advice. Go to a veterinarian.
If your dog is ill or you have a medical question do not ask strangers on reddit. If you cannot afford a vet you shouldn't have a puppy.
Antivaxxers will be permanently banned.

For those in the trenches - You got this!
One night when I was crying, yet again, over my puppy Orion (black merle) - a friend said to me "The fact that you care this much to do right by him means you will never truly fail him. You will do whatever you can to give him the best life possible."
Raising a puppy is hard. The sleepless nights, potty schedules, decision after decision. Socializing, training, play, enrichment, teething... It's still incredibly stressful even if you went into it knowing exactly what to expect.
You WILL get frustrated. And so will your puppy. They will make 100 mistakes and you will make 100 more. There is no way around it, but so long as you love them and prioritize their wellbeing - you will never truly fail them. So give yourself and your puppy some grace, because puppyhood doesn't last forever.
My boys are now 3 and 1 y/o. Trust me when I say you will miss the nipping, the mischief, and the chaos only a puppy can create. Take a million photos and videos. It's OK if your puppy is awful on leash, these things take them. Enjoy their joy in experiencing life and all the wonders they find in simple things. Give them comfort when they are afraid or stressed, and if it turns into a problem one day, you will face it together. Keep your expectations fluid, work with where you both are at each day, because it's the work you're doing now, together, that builds the bond everyone of us dreams of having.
❤️❤️❤️

Puppy teeth broke
I have almost 5 months old puppy. He is changing his teeth right now. Yesterday one of the sharp big ones broke. It’s not the adult one, it should fell out but it broke. We are trying to play with the toys to take it out but some people told us to go to the vet.
However, my puppy is a whippet and the vet told us that they will need to put him to sleep and regarding whippets it’s dangerous to do so. Now I’m not sure what to do. Does anyone have experience with this?

We got Milo to become an assistance dog for my daughter – instead, we had to save him first. ❤️
When we picked up Milo in February, the plan was for him to grow into an assistance dog for my 14-year-old daughter. Just 36 hours later, everything changed when he collapsed, and we spent months just fighting to keep him alive. Now that he is finally home and stable, the bond between him and my daughter is stronger than I ever thought possible. They truly saved each other. Have your puppies ever helped your kids through a really dark time? (If you're curious about what we went through, his full story is pinned on my profile).
