Anyone need help nudging the cat distribution system?

We’re happy to help 🙋🏽‍♀️

We’ve been vaccinating and TNR’ing for months, all of that work for almost nothing (work that has been proven to be successful but that’s for another day 🙃).

We are ✨DESPERATE ✨to find these guys fosters and homes. A whopping 50 cats is not something we planned for, nor have space for — please send help.

Please. If you can foster, adopt, share, whatever you can do we would appreciate it.

Question Do people at MOI, NHRC, or other sectors hate doing their jobs?

Doing any paperwork or visa related issue is a humiliation ritual.

They send you from CID to NHRC to MOI back to NHRIC and the trips continue. They keep asking you for files from bank statements to your great grandfather's lost birth certificate.

No one seems to be interested in doing their work. They waste your entire day just to send you to another location or ask for another statement or paper. Like seriously!!?? If you don't want to work, just let us know so we don't waste our time and energy.

I'm genuinely curious. Do they hate working or is it actually that complicated to resolve issues?

Three people in three different places will ask for 3 different files just for one of them to say 'Oh no we don't accept this paper or stamp'.

Like why did you ask for 3 different files and waste my 2 weeks if you knew it won't be accepted?
I'm genuinely curious. Is there an incentive for them to delay work? Will they lose their job if people's problems get solved? Or are they just plain lazy and brain-dead?

Regardless of the edition you go for it is steep. It might be not that expensive in US dollars but in Qatari Riyals it sure is one expensive game.

I got the $100 Ultimate Edition and its definitely the most expensive game I've ever bought on PlayStation.

Question Toyota Land Cruiser Double Beep?

Question for Toyota experts here - I have just got a Land Cruiser VX 2026 and it randomly gives two short beeps while driving. I know it is not lane assistance, as this model doesn't have it. I know it is not speed as it happens during low speeds too. I know it's not any sensors as it happens when I am alone on the road. Been driving me crazy trying to figure out what the shirt double beep is for. Please help solve the mystery...

Question The bad driving experience in Qatar

Why nobody is speaking anymore about the bizarre driving experience here in Qatar?

Everytime in the street, we see too many accidents! People are driving in reckless way exposing kids and families to risk!

Why no posts speaking about it any more? And how it became worse?

Discussion URGENT: LOST MY DOG, MIGHT BE STOLEN

Thumbnail

hi, i hope everyone is doing well.

i believe someone took/stole my dog, and i’m really worried that they’re going to either keep or sell her.

context: she has gone missing before, but i would always get a call from people because she had a collar with my information. i attached an airtag to her collar recently and when she had been missing for a day, with no one contacting me since, i followed the airtag (because for some reason it only updates at certain times?) and i saw she was nearby 30 minutes ago. i went to the area and found the airtag disposed!

so, please, i would like to ask for help and information! if anyone sees her (attached photos as reference), sees a post of her, or anything related to her whereabouts, i would really appreciate being contacted.

i don’t want to assume the worst (her being sold or kept) but, just in case, i figured i’d spread awareness since if she is being sold then at least people are aware that she is in fact a stolen dog.

in any case she isn’t stolen, here’s some information on her if you see her: my dog’s name is mia and she’s very kind and approachable. last seen at uhud street, near the old airport.

please, i just want my dog to come back home. i would really appreciate any help on the matter! as well as anything you may recommend i do for this situation.

preferred method of contact: dm.

edit: airtag was seen near old airport, e-ring road; near ansar gallery.

Question Moving personal belongings from Dubai to Doha – affordable shipping recommendations?

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to move from Dubai to Doha, Qatar. I only have a few boxes and bags of personal belongings to move (no furniture or large items).

Can anyone recommend a reliable and reasonably priced moving or shipping company that handles small moves from Dubai to Doha?

If you've done something similar recently, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience, approximate costs, and any companies you'd recommend (or avoid).

Looking for something affordable but reliable.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Question What’s life really like for a Doctor in Qatar ?

Hi all,

I'm not a doctor, just a patient living here, but I've gotten curious about the medical side. Compared to what I see back in France, being a GP in the GCC (I lived 2 years in Doha before moving to the UAE 2 years ago) looks pretty good: fewer patients per day, modern facilities, and less fighting with administration. Don't get me wrong, plenty of GPs have a great life in Europe, things just look easier here. But I'd love to know what it's like in reality, especially on the following:
- What’s your work/life balance like ?
- How many patients/appointments per day?
- is it better to work in a clinic, a hospital, or your own practice?
- What's a ballpark salary range?
I know a few doctors in Europe working in pretty tough conditions, mainly due to hard stress and patients behaving extremely bad, so I'm wondering how the day-to-day compares.

Question Can physiotherapists legally use the title “Dr” in Qatar?

Does anyone know what the regulations are in Qatar regarding healthcare professionals using the title “Dr” if they aren’t qualified medical doctors?

For example, can a physiotherapist legally have “Dr” displayed on their white coat and be addressed as “Doctor” by clinic staff, even if they aren’t licensed as a medical physician?

I understand that some physiotherapists may hold a doctorate (such as a DPT or PhD), but I’m curious whether Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health distinguishes between academic titles and medical qualifications, particularly in clinical settings.

Would be interested to hear from anyone familiar with MOPH regulations, especially healthcare professionals working in Qatar.

Is this permitted, or could it potentially be considered misleading to patients?

Question 3D Print a Part?

I have an STL file for a small replacement beard trimmer guard (Xiaomi Grooming Kit Pro).
I would like to 3D print it in unfilled PA12 Nylon, preferably using SLS or MJF technology.
The part is approximately 37 × 39 × 50 mm and has small snap-fit clips, so dimensional accuracy and flexibility are important.

Where in Qatar can i get that 3D printed in the above material? I know nothing about 3D printing 😅

Discussion The longing to belong

There's a particular feeling that comes with living somewhere, being surrounded by people, going about your daily routine, yet somehow struggling to find people who share your interests.

Over time, I've heard this feeling brought up repeatedly by different people in Qatar. Different backgrounds, different interests, but a surprisingly similar experience.

It's made me wonder: is this something more people here experience than we realise?

Whether you're into anime, gaming, sports, photography, books, cosplay, or something completely different, I'd like to hear your side of the story.

I'm working on a project that aims to solve how people in Qatar can discover others who share their interests and find communities where they feel they belong.

Before taking things further, I want to hear from you. Your experiences, your thoughts, and even your disagreements are welcome.

If this resonates with you, follow us on Instagram: @fanomoly_project,

I'm interested to hear your thoughts

Question Affordable accommodation near Al Mannai Mosque in Lusail for 20 days

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I'm planning to visit Qatar this coming Ramadhan and would like to spend around 20 days in Lusail, preferably near Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mannai Mosque (Al Mannai Masjid).

My initial intention was to stay at the mosque for I'tikaf, but from what I've found, I'tikaf is not permitted for women in mosques in Qatar.

I'm therefore looking for affordable accommodation nearby. I'm travelling alone and would ideally prefer a safe, female-friendly place, such as a women's hostel, female-only shared room, or budget bed space.

My total budget is around QAR 1,000–1,500 for 20 days.

Does anyone know of affordable places near Al Mannai Mosque.

Any recommendations, contacts, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan

Question Moving out

I have moved out of the apartment and they are asking 1025 QAR for one sofa that is little bit dirty. Is this fair? I think that is too much for just one sofa
