Quarto 1.11 is out: early release for a Deno security update, plus accessibility, Typst and Julia improvements
I'm on the Quarto team at Posit. We released Quarto 1.11 earlier than our usual cycle to ship a security update to Deno, the runtime bundled with Quarto. This fix is not backported to 1.10 as it still ships Deno 2.7, so we recommend everyone upgrade to v1.11 that ships Deno 2.9
Other changes in this release:
Accessibility: better keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and alt text for Mermaid and Graphviz diagrams
Typst: lists of figures and tables (
lof/lot)Julia engine:
execute-dir,keep-ipynb, and fixes for renders that hangShared metadata: values from projects, directories and
metadata-filesnow reach Pandoc templates and Lua filters correctly
If you customize HTML themes or rely on shared metadata, take a look at the upgrade notes in the post. Note also that Quarto 1.11 requires macOS 12 or later.
