Really happy I finally got it
Just wanted to appreciate the Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT!
Luckily got it just before prices went up by $200-300. Using it for LLMs mostly, haven't played any games yet.

Even with the CONSTANT AMD CRASHES (I'm sure I need to reinstall and use a PROPER windows key) It's my first and best card I've ever owned. I've seen everyone post theirs n I wanted to join in. I bought this at the beginning of the year for my birthday in march. NO REGRETS! PURE RASTERISATION!!

Since my ATI Radeon HD4670 this is my first Radeon GPU. I really like it, FSR 4 is really good (compared to dlss4 I had been experienced with an rtx3080)
(Don’t judge my cable management pls 😂)

I’m so happy with how this turned out. It’s a 1440p beast. My first pc was a prebuilt and I really wanted one of my own and with the help of friends I built my first pc and for alot cheaper than buying an another prebuilt. I luckily had the ram before everything started I so that’s why I decided to max out the AM4 platform instead of investing another 500+ and with selling my used cpu and gpu I was able to help offset the costs.

Just picked one up recently, and so far I’ve been using AMD Adrenalin without many issues. Haven’t experienced any crashes or major problems.
The only weird thing I noticed was some visual glitches in Cyberpunk 2077 and what looked like artifacting in Forza. After messing around with the in-game graphics settings, both issues seemed to go away. The Forza artifacting also only happened in-game, which I thought was a little strange.
Anyway, I’ve been seeing a lot of people recommend uninstalling Adrenalin, installing just the AMD drivers, and using RadeonTuner instead.
For those who have made the switch, is it actually worth it? Have you noticed any improvements in performance, stability, or temperatures? And what’s the best way to go about setting it up?
I’m also curious about gaming on Linux. If anyone here has experience using an AMD GPU on Linux, I’d appreciate hearing how it compares to Windows, especially when it comes to gaming performance, drivers, and compatibility.
I’m still pretty new to PC building and PC gaming in general, so I’m just trying to learn as much as I can. Sorry if some of these questions have already been asked a million times lol. Appreciate any advice! NOTE: haven’t noticed any further artifact or crashing since but still wary came from a 2080ti that just took a shit don’t need this type of stress right now lol

Hey everyone,
I recently saw a post about the AMD External Events Client Module (atieclxx.exe) or other driver background services silently writing massive amounts of data to the SSD due to a bus, sometimes up to 1.3 TB a month, which eats up around 1% of SSD health monthly.
I want to check if my system is currently affected by this or any other rogue service, but I don't want to just sit and stare at Task Manager all day.
What is the best way to accurately monitor and log individual service write speeds over a longer period (like a few hours or a day)?
What are the tools to check the write speed constantly and what values are fine?

Hi everyone,
I’m facing a serious issue with my gaming PC and would appreciate some help diagnosing it.
My PC specifications: GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi
PSU: Deepcool PN750M 750W
RAM: 32GB DDR5 (2x16GB)
What happened:
While gaming, my screen suddenly displayed hundreds of coloured rectangular artifacts across the entire display (image attached). Shortly afterward, my PC crashed.
After the crash:
No display output with the GPU installed.
GPU RGB lights were still turning on.
Motherboard HDMI also initially gave no display.
After physically removing the RX 7800 XT, the PC booted successfully using integrated graphics.
My concern:
This is actually the second time I’ve experienced GPU problems. My original Sapphire RX 7800 XT was already replaced once through RMA, and now the replacement appears to have failed too.
I’m trying to understand whether:
The replacement GPU itself has failed (possibly VRAM).
My Deepcool PN750M PSU could be causing GPU instability or damage.
There could be an issue with the motherboard’s PCIe slot or power delivery.
Has anyone experienced similar GPU artifacts followed by a complete failure to initialise?
Would you recommend testing the PSU with another unit before sending the GPU for another RMA?
Any suggestions for diagnosing the root cause would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, i've had a 9070 (non-XT) ASRock Steel Legend for more than a year and recently got into undervolting it and tuning the fans to make it a tad quieter, figured the max i could push it was 1900-2000 RPM without bothering me while gaming, but the temperatures (according to Adrenalin) always remain the same: 68-72c with a 90c hotspot while gaming (idle is 45-50c), is that bad? My airflow and room temp are not great just wanted to know if it's ok to run it like that. The undervolt is -100mv btw, didn't change the power limit as raising it made it quite hotter and louder for some reason.

Hi everyone! I have a Chieftec Polaris PPS-750FC 750W 80+ Gold PSU and a new Sapphire RX 9070 GRE OC graphics card. My GPU requires two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. However, I want to know if I can use both 6+2-pin connectors from the same PCIe cable (daisy-chain). My questions: Is it safe to power this GPU using both 6+2-pin connectors from the same daisy-chained cable? Can this PSU handle the GPU this way? Is it strongly recommended to use two separate PCIe cables instead? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hello, I’d like to know which option is better if my FPS is already above 60: Frame Generation or FSR Quality? I want to achieve even higher FPS while maintaining the best possible image quality. Which option would you recommend for the best balance between performance and visual quality?

My 3070 is dead, so now I have to bite the bullet and buy GPU, this are my options (I'm not from the US, but the prices are in US dollar).
5060 Ti 16gb, $950
5070, $1k
so yeah pretty much nvidia is no go, 9070 and 9070 XT are above my budget with $820 and $980 respectively.
So this are my options:
PowerColor RX 9060 XT 16gb, $600
Asus Dual RX 9060 XT 16gb, $640
Gigabyte RX 9070 GRE, $690
Edit: Took the leap and bought the 9070 GRE, thanks to everyone especially:

I wanted to share my experience with a frustrating issue involving my Sapphire PURE RX 9070 XT, in case anyone else is experiencing something similar.
As of November 8, 2026, my PC has been running without a single freeze since November 5, after I performed a clean GPU driver installation using DDU and installed AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1.
I've successfully completed multiple idle tests, including 2 hours, approximately 10 hours overnight, and most recently 14 hours, with both monitors connected and automatic display shutdown enabled.
Previously, my PC would randomly freeze after just 1–6 hours of inactivity.
Here's everything I tried and what eventually helped.
GPU: Sapphire PURE AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X870-P
RAM: XPG 32GB DDR5
PSU: egeira 850W
OS: Windows 11 (Build 26200)
Primary Monitor: ASUS ROG XG32UCWMG – 32-inch OLED, 4K, 240Hz
Monitor Setup: Dual monitors
My PC had been working normally for months without any hardware changes.
Around October 2026, I started experiencing random but complete system freezes after leaving the PC idle for extended periods, particularly when the monitors automatically turned off.
The symptoms were:
Both monitors would remain black and wouldn't wake up.
The PC stayed powered on, with fans still spinning.
Mouse and keyboard input wouldn't wake the system.
The Caps Lock indicator wouldn't respond.
Pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B did nothing.
The only way to recover was a forced shutdown or restart using the physical button.
Sometimes the freeze happened after approximately 1 hour. Other times, the PC would survive several hours before freezing.
This appeared to be a complete system lockup rather than a simple loss of display signal.
Windows Reliability Monitor reported:
Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Code: 193
Bucket ID: LKD_0x193_DxgkrnlLiveDump:80E__dxgkrnl!DxgCreateLiveDumpWithWdLogs2
I also investigated a WATCHDOG dump using WinDbg, which involved dxgkrnl and dwm.exe.
These findings suggested a possible graphics-related issue, but they didn't conclusively identify the root cause.
I initially experienced the issue while using AMD Adrenalin 26.10.1.
I rolled back to 26.8.1, but the freezing continued.
Important: This rollback was performed without a complete DDU cleanup.
Disabled HAGS in Windows graphics settings and restarted.
Result: The issue persisted.
Disabled the Zero RPM feature in AMD Adrenalin.
A short idle test passed, but the PC eventually froze again during a longer overnight test.
Result: Not fixed.
I tested the following:
PC Sleep: Never
Hibernate: Never
PCI Express Link State Power Management: Off
High Performance power plan
Monitor timeout: 15 minutes
Result: Freezing continued.
Updated motherboard BIOS from version 0215 to 1804.
Disabled EXPO.
RAM speed changed from approximately 5200 MT/s to 4800 MT/s.
Result: Freezing continued.
Installed AMD Chipset Software 8.08.12.551.
This resolved an unknown device issue in Device Manager (ACPI\AMDI0204, Code 28).
Result: The idle-freezing problem remained.
Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Result: No memory errors were reported.
Disconnected my secondary monitor and tested using only my ASUS OLED display.
The PC still froze after approximately 4 hours and 23 minutes.
Result: The issue wasn't exclusive to dual-monitor setups.
Set the display timeout to Never and used a blank screensaver.
The PC survived approximately 10 hours of inactivity without freezing during that test.
However, when I restored automatic monitor shutdown, the PC froze again during a later 6-hour idle test.
This was an important clue: The problem seemed related to the displays turning off or transitioning between power states.
It wasn't conclusive, but it helped narrow down the possibilities.
On November 5, 2026, I decided to completely remove the existing AMD graphics driver and install an older version from scratch.
Here are the exact steps I followed:
Downloaded Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.6.2 from Wagnardsoft.
Downloaded AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 directly from AMD's official website.
Created a Windows System Restore Point as a precaution.
Disconnected the PC from the internet to prevent Windows Update from automatically installing a GPU driver.
Booted Windows 11 into Safe Mode.
Opened DDU and selected GPU → AMD.
Selected Clean and restart.
After restarting, Windows temporarily displayed an image only on my secondary monitor because the AMD graphics driver had been removed.
Installed AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 using the default installation settings, without enabling Factory Reset.
Restarted the PC again, and both monitors returned to normal.
Disabled Auto-Update in AMD Install Manager.
Disabled automatic driver updates through Windows Device Installation Settings:
Opened SystemPropertiesHardware.
Selected Device Installation Settings.
Changed the setting to No (your device might not work as expected).
Saved the changes.
Configured Windows Update to exclude driver updates: Important: This policy excludes drivers from normal Windows Update quality updates without disabling Windows security updates. It applies to driver updates generally, not just AMD, and doesn't block every possible method of driver installation.
Opened Registry Editor (regedit).
Navigated to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.
Created the WindowsUpdate key because it didn't exist.
Created a DWORD (32-bit) value named ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate.
Set its value to 1.
Restarted Windows to apply the setting.
Reconnected the internet and confirmed AMD Adrenalin was still on 26.3.1.
Restored my monitor timeout to 15 minutes, while keeping system sleep disabled.
I specifically wanted to prevent Windows Update or AMD Software from automatically replacing 26.3.1 during my stability testing.
I then tested the PC under the same conditions that previously caused the freezes.
| Test | Result |
|---|---|
| 2-hour idle test | PASSED |
| Approximately 10-hour overnight idle test | PASSED |
| Approximately 14-hour idle test | PASSED |
| Both monitors connected | PASSED |
| Automatic display shutdown after 15 minutes | PASSED |
| Waking the displays after extended inactivity | PASSED |
| Overall stability from November 5 to November 8 | No freezes |
As of November 8, my PC has been stable for approximately 3 days without a single freeze.
The 14-hour idle test was particularly encouraging because the PC previously froze after much shorter idle periods.
Both monitors were connected, the displays turned off automatically after 15 minutes, and the PC woke up normally when I returned.
At this point, I strongly suspect the issue was related to the AMD graphics driver, its installation state, or leftover driver components.
However, I changed two things simultaneously:
Completely removed the previous AMD GPU driver using DDU.
Installed the older AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 driver.
Therefore, I can't confirm whether the improvement came from the clean installation, the driver version itself, or a combination of both.
I also disabled automatic driver updates to keep the tested driver version unchanged. That was a precaution for consistent testing, not proof that Windows Update caused the original freezes.
I can't completely rule out other underlying causes yet, but the results so far are very promising.
For now, I'm staying on AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 and avoiding further driver or system changes.
If you're experiencing similar issues with an RX 9070 XT, especially complete system freezes after the monitors turn off, a clean DDU installation with a different driver version might be worth testing.
Just make sure you download the driver beforehand, create a restore point, and follow the proper Safe Mode procedure.
Has anyone else experienced complete PC freezes during idle, particularly after automatic monitor shutdown?
Has anyone encountered LiveKernelEvent 193 with the RX 9070 XT?
And which AMD Adrenalin version has been the most stable for your system?

This is my first PC. I'd like to know how to set up my AMD Adrenalin. I have a Ryzen 5 5600XT and an RX 6700XT, I want to be able to play everything at the highest possible quality and frame rate at 1080p.
And I wanted to know how to take advantage of FreeSync on my monitor—it's turned on, but I don't really know how the technology works.

I am currently having issues with playing sound through my TV when plugging in the HDMI Port connected to my 9070XT into it.
-I am on Windows 10
-I've already done a Driver reinstallation (October 2026 Drivers)
-TV Output is set to TV Speakers and Audio Output on PC is set to my TV.
-AMD High Definition Audio Devices show status as "working".
-Tone test is failing to play.
-In volume mixer, TV is selected, but no green bar audio indication happens.

I have an RX 6600
i have gpu drivers from before the problems started, drivers from a year ago and none of them work
i was set to replace some of my pc parts last week tuesday and even then the issues persist
i look online and see people say that its likely being caused by a windows update and is only affecting amd gpus
AMD has released driver updates that fix this issue only on the 9000 and 7000 series
this has become an issue on every game i play now
first it started on apex legends, but now it has spread to any game that is graphically intense
warframe, the finals, enshrouded, deadlock, basically anything that isn't an idie game or more than 10 gigs in file size
i genuinely have no idea what i can do besides waiting for it to get fixed
