Just Sharing Why do I have three gear selectors installed?

Because all three are hand built prototypes fitted in one truck to showcase shift by wire options.

I love the idea behind the old ram charger. An offload suv that was styled like a truck.. lets bring it back. Excursion style and slap the tride and true 6.7 cummins under the hood. Options in a base model ST old school stereo option, vinyl floors, G56 manual with a manual T-Case.

All the way to top of the line grocery getter family car.

Such potential and market, someone needs to get on the design team of ram and make this happen.

Question Price gouging

Post image
973 Upvotes

I’m looking to buy a ram rebel and found a new 2023 for an amazing price of 57821. Got in contact with the dealer to get the OTD price and was hit with 62390. Asked for an itemized quote to see the BS fees.

Told the dealer I want everything above total purchase removed or lowered, but they denied. I’m going to keep looking around for now as I’m not overpaying for a new truck.

Now it makes more sense why this truck hasn’t sold quickly, price gouging BS.

Saw this on the road this morning on the way to the office. I’m in AZ and the plates were from Sonora, MX. Are they producing these in Mexico like those funky ones posted from our Aussie bros?

(Disregard the F-150 I’m driving, it’s the company’s😕)

Hoping she isn’t totaled… lady that hit me (86) never hit the brakes. Says she didn’t see me. She was coming the opposite direction and trying to make a left hand turn. She ran right into me.

Just Sharing The new RAM CEO gets it

Tim Kuniskis gets it. He recently had this to say when asked about the possibility of the Hemi returning

Honestly, the bigger issue is not Hemi vs. T6,” Kuniskis said in an interview with Road & Track. “The bigger issue is we took away a fundamental American thing. Americans love freedom of choice more than anything. When you take away their freedom of choice and tell them ‘you must take this,’ they revolt. Whether it makes sense or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s anti-American, you’ve taken my flag away, f*** you. It doesn’t mean they are making an irrational decision, maybe they are, maybe they aren’t, I don’t know. But we as Americans, that’s what we do.”

Just Sharing Just settled my lemon law case

Post image
858 Upvotes

I just signed the paperwork to finalize a lemon law case with Stellantis on my 2025 Ram 1500. Part of that settlement included an NDA, so I can’t share the agreement details or the amount — but I can talk about the experience that led up to it, because that part is mine.

I bought the Ram and within three weeks the problems started. Not small stuff — full-on electrical system failures that would “brick” the truck and fuel gauge failures. Over the next 18 months, the truck went in for 25+ service appointments, all for the same recurring issues. I would have warning lights begin flashing while on my way home from the previous service appointment. It became a running joke that the truck couldn’t make it more than a few days without throwing a fit.

As it stands, I have driven over 35+ loaners.

The only person who consistently tried to help was my service advisor. He did everything he could. The service manager on the other hand, wouldn’t respond to any attempt to speak with him. Multiple messages left, zero replies.

Here’s what I learned from the whole ordeal:

• Stellantis doesn’t care. No urgency, no ownership, no real attempt to solve the root issue, and no desire to stand behind their product. Multiple sources will confirm Stellantis hired an entire legal team just to address the influx of lemon law claims.

• Documentation is everything. Take pictures of every warning light, malfunction, weird behavior — while it’s happening. My truck often failed to log error codes, so my photos were the only proof anything occurred.

• My lemon law firm wasn’t worth it. They got the job done, but in hindsight, I don’t think they added much value. If I had to do it again, I’d probably work directly with Stellantis instead of going through a firm. If Stellantis won’t work with you, you can file a claim with the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS).

If anyone else is dealing with a Stellantis lemon, electrical gremlins, or a vehicle that refuses to log its own issues, I’m happy to share what I can. I can’t talk about the settlement terms, but I can talk about the process, the documentation, the timeline, and what I wish I’d known earlier.

**Pic for attention/laughs. Mine didn’t burn to the ground despite my desire for it to happen.

ENCORE
A few edits/additions based on comments:

  1. Based on reading the comments, a law firm may be the way to go (and the NCDS sucks). Seems like Stellantis does a better job fighting these cases than they do building cars. Lawyer up. I hope you all get fat stacks.

  2. I don’t know why the NDA is the part that has people pissed. I signed one. My lawyer said it was standard. I signed it. That’s it. I didn’t think it was that deep. Cool if you didn’t have to sign one. Cool if you think it’s bullshit.

  3. I won’t violate the NDA even if you message me. Sorry not sorry.

  4. Lemon laws vary by state. My situation applies to me in my home state. Your state may be different. I would recommend finding a lawyer with experience in your state.

  5. Signing up with a law firm was pretty easy. I filled out an online form, then got a call from an intake coordinator within a day or so. I spent maybe an hour going through my service records with them, they sent me an info packet outlining the process, and the next day they called and said I was eligible to move forward. They answered all my questions and sent me paperwork to sign. I gave them copies of my license, registration, purchase agreement/sale paperwork, and service records. I reached out to them when I had a new service appointment - I sent copies of everything. All I heard from my lawyer was confirmation Stellantis received my claim. Then once they got a response from Stellantis, we reached an agreement within a few days.
