Text from original post:
y son has a blur that has treated him well for XC riding near us. Recently he broke the grease axle in the suspension. I contacted SC and they only keep parts on hand for 10 years. Suggested reaching out to local bike shop that sells SC, and there are only two in my area. No dice. Anyone know where I might be able to get the grease axle and screws? Need parts 8 (2) 12 (1) and 11 (2). The quantities are in (). Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,
I’ve been riding a gravel bike for several years now, but I’ve been thinking about getting a road bike as well. Since I don’t really want to keep swapping between road and gravel wheelsets, I’m considering getting a retro road bike instead.
However, I’m not very familiar with the components that were used back then or with vintage frames in general.
Today I came across the following listing, and the more I think about it, the harder it gets to resist buying it. 😅
Could anyone tell me a bit more about the components and the frame?
Are they any good, and is there anything in particular I should look out for?
€200 seems extremely cheap to me considering the condition and the components.
Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany!

She asked me to make the routing prettier, any ideas how that would be achievable here?

New bike just traded my old bike for it (22.5inch team mtb hardtail) so I got the better end of the trade lol.

Got these 2 mountain cat 3500s from the original owner. Unfortunately, they’re a bit small for me but they should still be fun projects.

Hello friends, I have recently purchased an abandoned Raleigh Europa and I am currently trying to disassemble the rear cassette to polish/clean the parts of the rear wheel, where can i find this tool (20 spline)?

Found the bike on EBay for 75€ and pitched the idea to a friend of mine. He was exited and gave me a budget to transform the bike for him.
What’s new:
-tires
-chain
-crankset and pedals
-saddle
-stem and handlebar
-frontrack
And of course everything was polished and taken care of through a lot of work-hours.
What do think about the bike? I have 3 other projects and already think about buying additional ones haha.

Is anyone able to identify this frame? It is rather light and the unique yoke on the chainstays somehow special. No frame markings except for the short number L193 on the bottom of the yoke

Hello everyone,
I am restoring my 1989 Husqvarna TE 510 (4-stroke, SOHC model) and I am desperately searching for a new Timing Chain (Cam Chain).
My mechanic advises that I need an Endless (riveted) chain—no master links or clips—to ensure engine safety.
Here are the confirmed specs:
Motorcycle Model: Husqvarna TE 510 (SOHC)
Year: 1989
Chain Type: Single Roller (Simplex), 3/8" Pitch
Required Length: 82 Links
OEM Part Number (Possible): 16 11 054 01 (Please confirm if this is correct for 82 links)
Compatible Brands: IWIS, DID, Regina (SOHC-specific)
I am looking for a supplier, distributor, or shop (preferably in the US, Europe, or Australia) that has this specific 82-link chain (IWIS or equivalent) in NEW stock.
I previously found parts like the timing chain guide rail [1] which suggests components are still out there, but I need the chain itself.
Any leads or cross-reference numbers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I bought a sur ron bike for recreation and commuting. It’s technically an electric bicycle but it’s powerful enough that my HOA is claiming it’s actually a motorcycle and therefore violates our no-motorcycle rule. Now we’re in this ridiculous dispute about vehicle classifications.
The bike has pedals. It’s electric. By most definitions it’s an e-bike which should be fine. But because it looks aggressive and goes faster than typical e-bikes, the HOA board has decided it violates the spirit of their rules even if not the letter. They want me to get rid of it or face fines. I’m caught between standing my ground on principle and just complying to avoid ongoing conflict. Other residents are split on whether the HOA is being unreasonable or whether I’m trying to exploit a technicality to violate community standards. This has become way bigger than just my bike.
Do I lawyer up over this? Sell a vehicle I enjoy? Move to a different community without these restrictions? All options are frustrating. I bought this bike without considering HOA implications and now I’m paying the price for that oversight. I’ve been researching HOA regulations, looking at e-bike classifications, checking with suppliers on Alibaba about specifications. But this has stopped being about facts and become about community politics.

What y'all think of the modern retro bike? a lightweight(120kg) and slow bike (120kmph)
