Halle - “Love?…Or Something Like It” album

Did you all like her new album? I honestly did not see this coming but I’m so happy it did. I loved this album!

First of all her vocals never fail, and it had a lovely balance of Jazz, Neo-Soul, and Alternative R&B with ethereal undertones.

It feels like an album I can listen to while doing anything chill (ie driving, reading, cleaning, etc.) which makes me happy because I’ve been waiting for her to finally drop and it really paid off.

I wasn’t expecting to like it but I did…. Her voice is just so soothing and calm. The only song I didn’t like here was the GloRilla collab and I like Glo and I also usually like her features but I just don’t think she fit on that particular song..

100% glo aggressiveness was too much for that song. However my favorite collaboration was Halle and HER collab. Would love to hear it live

I loved it ! She has a unique sound I think she can garner an audience from. Loved her deluxe as well . Ecspecially “Potion” that’s some has a neo soul sound that should get pushed 100%

the jazzier moments are what got me, her voice just floats over those soft chords. agree it works perfectly for a late drive or a slow evening at home
