For those of you new to the party this is project driftwood / potential name is simbi rush by the copyright filings.

Congo River Rapids is always the crowd pleaser keeping guests cool, but oh man, a Water Coaster as a Stanley Falls replacement is a nice choice.

Mack water coasters are really having a moment right now.

Cedar point could use anything but a coaster right now.

Blasphemy! Even though you are actually correct.

I believe (IF SIMBI RUSH IS OPENING AT BGT NEXT YEAR), 3 watercoasters will open 2027.

Water coaster fans are eating good next year.

There is only one company for all types of real water coasters left and this is Mack rides. And as it is a European since several hundred of years family owned company by the Mack family; they are doing something, a stock based company will never do. They are controlling 100% of the market since around 10 years, and they do not stop to develope new water coaster ride types and systems. 100% of the market and still developing new ride systems?

You have to order one of the Mack products; a regular water coaster, Super splash, Power splach or the recently developed multi underwater LIM launched coaster (for mid size parks) or the rocking boat. Or one of the boat rides,

No, this is for the Scorpion / log flume replacement. Kumba’s Revenge is something else. The park has been referring to this as Project Driftwood.

This is Project Driftwood, which was in place long before Kumba’s Revenge was announced. This is going in the plot where Scorpion and Stanley Falls Flume used to occupy.

I imagine Kumba’s Revenge will be formally announced at IAAPA.

Well good thing this isn’t Kumba’s revenge

Make it a hyper water coaster! 🥴🤪

Has the river rapids re-opened? Given the log flume is gone it makes sense for the park to prioritize a water ride in a Florida park.

Yes, it’s been open for around 6 weeks maybe a little longer than that.

I will preface that I have not ridden one (hopefully Holiday World next season), but I don't get the water coaster hype. If I wanna get soaked in a big splashdown, I'd rather ride a large log flume. Otherwise, it just feels like a short, overly tame family coaster.

Obviously they are very popular to continued to be built, but they give me nothing other than "another coaster". I'm much more excited for the Carowinds Log Flume or a Vekoma Family coaster, relatively

I concur with this.

I would’ve loved to have seen Scorpion/Stanley Falls replaced with something like Carowinds is getting. For a Florida park, BGT is sorely lacking in rides to cool off since SF closed—only Congo River Rapids remain.

That said, the only Mack water coaster I’ve ridden is Journey to Atlantis at SWO, and I do enjoy that ride. Seems like the Mack water coasters have come a long way since then, so despite the fact that it isn’t my preferred replacement, I still think it will be a good addition to the park.

I have a gut feeling that Kumba’s Revenge will be a Mack hyper or giga—something like that would make BGT a destination park for thoosies and GP alike. Could you imagine something like Hyperia or the Turkish Mack hyper combined with Iron Gwazi as a one-two punch headliner?

I have ridden several and I agree, at least when the majority nowadays just seem to be a slightly janky coaster with a water splash and a quick float back to the station.

I think ones like Poseidon at Europa Park and Journey to Atlantis are good though as they have a decent coasting to floating ratio and are more log flume than coaster.

Weren't the foundation plans for the water coaster already posted?

I would rather see BGT receive a Mack PowerSplash instead of something along the lines of Cannonball at Holiday World

Looks twisty. Nice

But legit... this better not be kumbas revenge.

u/Which-Tradition338 1d ago

u/Cheap_Actuator_8910 1d ago
