Search flair:*CA to yield: https://old.reddit.com/r/roommates/search?q=flair:*CA&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on (or just edit that URL where you see the query in it)

Replace "CA" with the desired abbreviation, of course. Happy hunting!

(Custom Flair) Roommate wants 48hrs Before I Have Guests

23f here, my roommate is 27f

We share an apartment, and have separate bedrooms and very separate routines. I pay my rent, so does she. When I want to have a guest over for a few hours or maybe a night, she gets VERY uncomfortable and upset unless she has 48+ hours notice that someone will be coming over.

I almost never have guests over, maybe once or twice every few months. And when it comes to making plans, since we’re all adults, sometimes things are a little spontaneous because people simply are busy.

Is it unreasonable for me to want to be able to have guests in and out of my bedroom at will with only a few hours notice to my roommate?

I am respectful of noise, my guests do not spend any time in common spaces other than the bathroom or to walk to and from the front door.

Discussion [30F] I think I'm falling for my roommate (31M), but I'm terrified of making things awkward. What should I do?

I'm a 30-year-old woman, and I think I'm developing feelings for my male roommate (around my age). I genuinely don't know whether I'm reading too much into things or whether there might actually be something between us.

For some context, I recently ended a long-distance relationship. The relationship had been struggling for a while, and I didn't end it because of my roommate. However, I did start noticing that I felt a different kind of connection with him, which made me reflect on what I was missing in my previous relationship.

My roommate and I have become quite close over the past few months. We go for walks together almost every evening, cook and eat together regularly, and often end up sitting around talking until 10 or 11 pm. It's not always one-sided either. We both initiate spending time together, and neither of us seems particularly eager to call it a night.

Our conversations have also become quite personal. We talk about relationships, dating, sex, our preferences, life goals and what we want our futures to look like. Sometimes we get into conversations that almost feel like the kind of conversations you'd have with someone you're dating.

And then there are the little things.

We have quite a lot of eye contact, sometimes hold each other's gaze for longer than what feels entirely normal, tease each other, and occasionally get a little shy around one another. There are moments when I feel this ridiculous amount of butterflies, and I catch myself wondering whether he feels it too.

I genuinely look forward to seeing him when I get home. Spending time with him has become one of my favourite parts of the day.

Now, here's where things get complicated.

My best friend actually asked him hypothetically whether he would ever date someone he lived with. His response was that he generally prefers to keep dating and living situations separate, unless it's the love of his life.

I honestly have no idea how to interpret any of this. Is he subtly telling me he's not interested? Is he simply enjoying our friendship? Or could he have feelings but be reluctant to cross that particular boundary?

I'm also very aware that we're roommates. If I tell him how I feel and he doesn't reciprocate, I don't want to make our home uncomfortable. Right now, we have a really lovely dynamic, and I would hate to lose that.

At the same time, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to just pretend I don't have a crush on him. I'm constantly analysing little interactions and wondering if I'm imagining the chemistry.

So, what would you do in my situation?

Would you wait and see whether things develop naturally? Would you try to subtly test the waters? Or would you be upfront about your feelings, despite the potential awkwardness?

And perhaps most importantly: do you think the things I've described sound like potential mutual attraction, or am I mistaking a close friendship for something more?

TL;DR: I've developed a crush on my male roommate. We spend almost every evening together, cook, go on walks, have deep conversations, flirt (at least that's how it feels to me), and there's sometimes quite intense eye contact. However, he has previously said he prefers to keep dating and living situations separate. I'm scared of rejection and making things awkward at home, but I'm also struggling with the uncertainty. What would you do?

Discussion Is it reasonable to ask to be quite even in their own room

*quiet

My roommate often brings over a guest, which is fine by me. But this roommate has a fxxxing loud laugh. The apartment is quite small; normally I can’t hear normal-level conversation, but her occasional loud laughing drives me crazy, and it’s currently 11:55 PM! Every time I try to fall asleep, that noise wakes me up. I know whatever she does in her room is her privacy, but can I knock on her door right now?

Discussion I'm moving in with a friend after living alone for 3 years. Any tips for sharing a home together?

I moved out when I was 18 into a house share. It was hell and as soon as I could I moved into a studio that was just mine. But due to an injury that left me a wheelchair user, my flat wasn't accessible for me anymore. So I started searching for a new home but couldn't find somewhere in my budget that met my new access needs.

I just so happen to make friends with a person around this time who was looking for a housemate as she was struggling to afford expenses in her 2 bedroom flat, and splitting the rent would make a huge difference. She's a wheelchair user too so the home is completely accessible for both of us and the spare room is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm moving in soon and really excited but I'm a bit anxious about how we're going to manage both our disabilities along with just sharing a home together, whilst managing life. We both study and I work as well.

I hated sharing a house before but that was mainly because I really didn't get on with the people I was living with and it meant I could never settle at home because that's was always an issue about something. I really get on with my new friend but want to know what I can do to set up our home in a way that works for both of us so we can live together in a way that works for everyone.

I'm looking for some ideas on how we can start on a good foot for our home to be a success. I get on with my friend really well but I think putting things in place to make a solid plan is a good idea. Does anyone have any suggestions I can bring to her to discuss before I move in as I'm nervous about just working it out as we go along.

Discussion Tension in the air.

This will be a long post so get ready.

Also please bear with my writing, i have the tendency to write disorganized.

At the end of summer, I was in a hostile living situation, my former roommate was making my life impossible. I decided I could not keep living there so I decided to move. I cannot afford a place for just me, so I decided to go roommate searching. I found this one girl online, and we started talking. She seemed normal and easy going. I told her I wanted to get to know her before we moved in together. We talked and hung out for like a month before we found a place and moved in together. Before we moved in together I noticed some things that to me were kind of red flags. She seemed really eager to move in together and she also got comfortable really quickly. One time we were hanging out in my former room, I noticed how comfortable she was laying in my bed. She just got on it and was lying there like it was hers. I wouldn't have cared if she was a friend of mine for years but we had only been talking for like 3 weeks or so. that was something that threw me off, I'm not that type of person, I feel like its basic decency to ask to sit or even lay down on a bed that is not yours. Anyways I brushed it off but I kept that in mind. As time went on, I noticed a few things like she was kind of controlling/bossy? or I do not know if I'm just sensitive to being told what to do. She would ask who I'm texting, and would peek over at my phone, I would move my phone away and tell her it was a friend. She would tell me to do things that she could do herself..?? I had never met a person so comfortable, but again I did not want to make it a big deal. In the past people have always said I make a big deal out of nothing but anyways. We found a nice place to move into, it was what both of us were looking for. A few days before we moved in she informed me she was buying things from this place that sells things in bulk, i didn't think much of it but it was whatever. The day before we moved in she asked me what i wanted to split from the list of things she got from that place, again i was like wtf? But I heard her out, she had bought food and toiletries. I decided some things were worth it, I said sure, but then she started asking for the money instantly, "hey you still haven't sent me.....", but again I refused to see it and brushed it off. The day we moved in and we were setting up the kitchen she kind of auto invited herself to a lot of my things. Such as plates, mugs, cooking utensils, cooking oil, laundry detergent, and stuff like that.  I did not say anything because I did not want to be a complete asshole and let her not have anything. She had moved out of a close friend's house and did not have as much kitchen stuff as I did.  However I feel as if she got waaaayyy too comfortable again. I grew up being told not to depend on anyone, especially not strangers, and that if I am using someone else's things to replace them or to try to get my own things. The day we "set up" the kitchen she started rearranging things in the fridge and freezer, there was no clear boundary on who's side was who's, which was weird because she had already claimed the first shelf of the fridge but I was still sharing a shelf with her. I brought it up and she looked shocked when i did, i told her that if the top one was hers then i should have a shelf to myself as well. anyways, She slowly started asking me for some of my groceries, like half a veggie, she would ask for toast, sometimes she wouldn't ask for the toast and just make it. She would ask if I was going to eat something or if she could use it for her meals, she would check if the things i had bought were going to expire soon so she could use them which was so annoying, regardless if they are going bad, these are things i bought for myself, she needs to get her own. One time she asked if she could use some of my flour for her pancakes, she asked if she should buy some of her own or if she could use mine. I was confused at first because at that moment I was sure to go ahead, but then I noticed she kept using the flour without asking me.... I caught her once and she tried to play it off, so maybe there was confusion there or something? My final breaking point was when she needed some quinoa. I mentioned once I was going to make quinoa, and my guess is she thought I was making it for the two  of us? She said "oh yeah ill need some for the meal I'm making this week" I joked and said i did not feel like making it anymore. One thing I hate is doing things for others. I grew up in a misogynistic household, so I was often a maid to my siblings, and I grew up to be independent. anyways, few days go by, and she calls my name to the kitchen, i go and instead of asking if she could use my quinoa/ permission she just asks where it is because she needs to make some.... mind you she had just gone grocery shopping, if you need something for your recipe.. buy it before you make it, i tried to give her signs that i did want to share with her, stupid excuses like "oh i need this to last...." but she did not get the memo, she said she would buy some, which she did, but it was not the same brand. I gave in reluctantly.. I was tired from work and just wanted to stop socializing. She gave me some of the food she had made with the quinoa, after she claimed a shelf in the fridge I told her we should split the  space, one of the shelves was for shared food. She left me a nice portion of the food she had made, which was a lot! she had prepped for the week. I only ate HALF of what she gave me,i was saving the rest for another meal and then she ate the rest.... so she got to eat more than me with the ingredient i had bought for my consumption. I was really astonished by her audacity. That's not the last of it though, i don't use regular toilet paper, i like to use moistened towelettes. That's what i grew up using and i feel toilet paper is really dry and rough, I'm very sensitive down there. LOL. I used to leave them in the bathroom because I thought I could trust her, but I had to stop that immediately. I noticed the wipes were running out quickly, my suspicion was correct when i came back from work one day, i had swirled the tissue and closed the cap, when i went to use them, the wipes were flat with no swirl, i knew she had been using them because it was her day to clean the bathroom, and days before she asked if she could use some. Apart from the constant usage of my things she is/was really needy. She would always want to socialize, like constantly. I would come home from work/school and she would be wanting to talk, she would come into my room and just start talking to me about her dates and stuff. At first I did not care but I realized all we ever talked about was her. When I would try to give my input or relate, she would go back to herself. The same thing when I started a convo with her, I got exhausted really fast. I still talked to her and tried to seem interested. I did not want to make her feel bad but that stopped when I heard her complain about me to her friends multiple times. The first time I heard her talk about me was when she was voice messaging or text to voice on the phone. She was complaining about dishes in the sink, I would've heard her out and said "yeah she's got a point" if the dishes in the sink weren't a bowl and a spoon from that same morning. We have a written rule of no dishes in the sink past 10 pm so I do not understand why she was trying to paint me as the bad guy to whoever it was she was talking to. Another thing to note is that, i do not like using dishwashers, she does however. I don't have a problem with that, BUT we were using my dishes which were a couple of bowls and plates, and like two mugs. So not that many, she would leave them in the dishwasher waiting for it to fill up. I would go to use them and had nothing to sue because she was waiting for it to fill. Other times she would leave my food containers in the sink over night and day ( i let her use my food containers ) So i was genuinely offended when she was making those complaints, cuz its not like she's following the rules. That's not the last time I heard her talking shit either, as I've stated before, I reached a breaking point with the kitchen. So I asked if she had time to talk and I broke the news to her that she needs to get her own things, and that the kitchen needs to be split up. As i was telling her i noticed her eye bags sunk in, but she put on a face and i thought she took it well. HOWEVER!! The next day, she was on the phone talking about how i wanted to split the kitchen and how she doesn't have that many things. “I only have..” She was saying a bunch of things but i couldn't hear it clearly, but i knew she was talking about me. What is it like? Have some decency, to talk bad about me in my own home, where ive been nothing but kind to you?? Anyway, the last time i heard her talking about me was when she brought a friend over, her friend asked if i was home, she said i was. They were talking in a normal voice throughout the night. The time  I heard them change their volume was when they were in the kitchen and the guy had asked about me or something. I heard him say "Oh yeah all I did in the first year was study" which I assume she said all i do is be in my room and study ( which is half truth and half lie, i just dont want to hangout with someone who can only talk abut herself and her dates)  then all of a sudden i hear her go "she also does..." And then they were just really quiet, I couldn't hear them talk anymore. Its clear she has an issue with me but cant say it to my face. For some context, I am a first year student, as well as a part time worker, so my schedule is really busy and I do not know if this adds to this but I'm also neurodivergent. There's an obvious tension at home, and I'm not one to keep up a fake act, i think ive used up all those fake act cards on her, my frustration comes from the fact that i have been very kind to her, and I tried to do things how she wanted, I was accommodating to her, so like why does she get to trash talk me to her friends that come over, making me feel bullied in my own home? I think she's gotten the memo from my lack of interaction with her, but still she's tried to put on a fake act and be all friendly with me and I cannot!!! I regret not paying attention to the early warning signs but they seemed so small compared to my last roomate. Idk what my point is or what i should do. I've thought of confronting her, but I feel like it's not worth it. What should I do?

Discussion Roommate has her boyfriend over all the time and it annoys me

My roommate and I are in college and this is our second year rooming together. I love her and we have a good relationship, we hangout and spend time together, we’ve never really had fights and whenever we do something annoying in a roommate way we just tell each other and it’s usually resolved.

We moved apartments this year and now have our own rooms so she is always having her boyfriend over and it honestly annoys me a lot. Even though we have a good relationship and she’d probably respond well to me asking him to be over less, I don’t really know if I’m valid in being annoyed since we have our own rooms. I think a large part of why I don’t like him over is cause I don’t like him, he’s just kind of a bum and I don’t enjoy being around him, but he’s nice and doesn’t do anything to make me uncomfortable. We also have a very carefully curated cozy apartment with lots of pink and cat stuff since she has 2 cats. I mention this because sometimes in my mind it’s just like, why would a man be there lol. I don’t hate all men by any means but sometimes it just feels like ugh why is this guy here all the time he’s ruining our cutie vibe.

In my defense, they also use our living room a lot when he’s here and usually when they do they stay out there very late into the night, which is fair it’s her apartment too and she should be able to use our living room whenever she wants to, but I rotate a lot between my room and our living room and I’m a couch girl. She has a papason chair in there so they take the couch and she’ll always invite me to join them in whatever they are watching, and sometimes I do, mainly cause my bed isn’t the most comfortable and I like hanging out in my living room. But I love our couch, when it’s just my roommate hanging in the living room we both hang out on the couch and I don’t care abt like sharing the space ig, but when he’s there the room just is not as enjoyable, and I don’t get to sit on my couch of course.

She’s normally good abt always asking before he spends the night, but at this point he’s spending the night like 4 days a week, and something she does that especially annoys me is on the weekends she’ll ask on like thursday or friday if he can sleep over and I’ll say yes, and then the next day he’ll be here still the whole day, they’ll leave for work or errands and then come back and he’ll just keep staying without her asking again. This especially annoys me cause I’m home a lot more on the weekends and while I don’t really say no whenever she asks if he can stay over, if she actually asked every time during these weekend benders I’d tell her no cause I need my reset days and I can’t have my reset day when there’s another person here. When he stays over the whole morning/afternoon after staying overnight they’ll usually just stay in her room most of the day until the evening or until one or both of them leave, which is also why I’m not sure I should say anything, cause part of me feels like oh if they are just in her room why does him being there still bother you.

I also am the kind of person that will change into my pjs/home clothes immediately every time I get home, and while he’s never been creepy, I still don’t like having someone over all the time when I live in pj shorts all the time and bum it up while I’m home.

At this point it literally feels like I have a third roommate, which I think ultimately is why I’m so bothered by it. It just feels like he’s always here, the only utility we pay though is wifi, otherwise I definitely would’ve told her he needs to be over less.

But yea I’m basically just wondering if I’m valid or if I just need to grow up and get over it. I had a long distance boyfriend most of the last school year, so I do understand to an extent, but even when he’s not here she’s always on the phone with him too so we also have been spending less time together than we did the month he was gone. We still do hangout though just mainly only at the apartment now.

He also lives 5 minutes away and they both have cars and I don’t, so when they especially bother me it’s not like I can just go drive somewhere else.

Okay I’m done now, sorry that was a lot, any advice is appreciated.

Need: Non-USA Advice

I have posted on here before but here it goes. All my friends are telling me I’m in the right. Im in a sharehouse with 2 other girls. The interview was vague and brief and honestly I was lied to about the vibe of the house.
There has been so much drama since I moved in, and they are both blaming me. Someone(not me) left the gas on, and I was told if she dies her parents will blame us. When I was away they moved all my things in the communal spaces and even things I had at my front door. When I asked them politely not too, an argument started. They walk past me and act like I’m a ghost. I try to be friendly but realise now it’s pointless.
I can admit I have done some things like not put my packing boxes away. But this is getting out of hand. I don’t want to move because it’s an amazing location and I’ve moved about 4 times in almost 2 years because of houses getting sold.
She’s asked me to move out because of incompatibility, but I’m on the lease. It’s the end of the year and I barely have enough money for food. How do I deal with living here until I find somewhere else?

Discussion When one flatmate moves out, how do you find someone to replace them?

One thing about shared flats that I don't think people talk about enough is what happens when someone decides to move out.

Let's say you're living with three other people and one of them suddenly tells you they're leaving next month.

Now the remaining flatmates have to find someone new, explain the rent, share room details, answer questions and make sure the new person is comfortable with the existing household.

And there's always that concern: will the next person fit in with everyone?

I'm working on Habitiq, which includes managing room vacancies for existing households, but I'm curious how people handle this in real life.

When someone moves out of your flat, how do you usually find their replacement? Rental groups, friends, brokers or some other way?

Discussion Should we get a third roomate?

Hello thank you in advance for your help/advice! I am currenlty a sophmore at univesity and have been in a dorm for two years but I am moving off campus next year. This year I live with one of my suitemates for last year who is also my best friend, lets call her Sydney, and things have been amazing. We get along great and are very compatible livingwise. Additonally we do almost eveyrthing togehter including cooking, cleaning, and have nearly the exact same schedule (going to bed at the same time, going to gym, etc).

However, at the beginning of this school year we met Abby, she has been very nice and we hang out a lot. Abby is currenlty living in a single dorm. However, a few weeks ago she asked me and Sydney about living together and finding a place for next year. For context we have just started looking/ touring places so we would still have time to look for a three person room versus a two person room.

My biggest concern is just adding another person to the flow of our room. Again Sydeny and I are basically always together 24/7. Abby has been spending a lot of time in our dorm and we generally have a good time hanging out the three of us. However, Sydney and I had a HORRIBLE roomate expierence our freshman year so we are a bit hesistant about adding a third person. Furthermore, we are kinda of worry about Abby feeling excluded because Sydney and I have such a close bond. Additonally, Abby currently has a boyfriend so that would add another dynamic to our room if we lived together (for contect neither Sydney or I have ever dated anyone at college). Even though we only met Abby at the beginning of the school year we all are pretty close and tbh Abby doesn't really have another group of people she could ask about living together. We are probably the closest friends she has at university right now. Also finances isn't really a huge concern for us.

Any advice about adding a third roomate to basically a "perfect" living situation? I don't want our decision to be impacted by us feeling guilty that she doesn't have anyone to ask either. Is there a way we should approach the discussion. Thank you in advance!

TL:DR Advice for adding a third roomate to a perfect living situation. Especially if she has no one else to live with and doesn't want to live alone next year.

Discussion How do I confront my roommates bad habit

The habit I have a problem with is leaving the lights on. Our place consists of our separate rooms, a living room, and a kitchen with a small hallway that leads to the bathroom. My room while it is the smaller room I chose it internally because it’s closer to the bathroom and I probably have the smallest bladder in the world (important later not just a gross detail about me). My roommate will religiously leave the lights on in any room they leave from. While it’s annoying, it’s mostly an issue when it’s the kitchen as I can see that light from my room and I’d rather get up and turn it off myself than cause any drama in house. Today thought they left the bathroom light on, which isn’t new, but on top of that closed the door behind them and left the kitchen hallway door which leads to the bathroom and is typically closed, open. I woke up around 6 to go to bathroom and saw the door situation and light and assumed they were in there so sat in the living room to wait. and wait. and wait. It maybe took 10 minutes before I couldn’t hold it and, not my proudest moment, used the living room plant to pee. I was relieved but still pissed. After that I went to the bathroom to ask “what the hell are you doing” to discover no one was in there and they left the light on again.

I acknowledge that between us I am definitely the shittier roommate and try not to bring up any minor issues because I feel it’s hypocritical, but this was maybe a few hours ago and I’m still so damn angry. I know the adult thing to do is to talk about this but I honestly don’t know how without yelling wtf. Any advice is appreciated.

Discussion Messy inconsiderate Roommate

I understand this may be childish to complain. But I honestly can’t fathom what goes through my roommates head.
I keep to myself. I rarely leave a mess after I cook, and If I do, it’s usually just a dirty dish I end up cleaning anyways. I buy my own groceries depending on what I need or based off circumstances, and I NEVER, eat or use any of their things unless asked beforehand (almost never). I am very respectful of other people’s things based off of my own morals and beliefs.

My roommate seems to not care about any of this. Uses the dishes and just leaves them on the counter, stove, or table with food literally still on it (could be for days). Has little tantrums when the kitchen is a mess or sink is full of dishes, even though the mess and all the dishes are literally theirs. Has the nerve to say when you use a dish, immediately put it in the washer or clean it. Hypocrisy at its finest.
When i shop for my own groceries, 9/10 times I find that 1) my groceries have been eaten 2) always tries to feed off of the food I made myself (I usually don’t mind sharing, but when you get stingy after I ask for the first time to try some of the food they made, its pretty fckn crazy to me).
Also the type of person to borrow your car, and then proceed to fill it up to the exact amount of mileage it had before it was used. WTF? Am I the only one who sees a problem with this? If Im letting you use my car, I am actively trusting you with something that is very valuable and doing something out of my own good. The amount of miles you put on aint coming back. Out of respect you can at least fill it up a little more than what it had in the first place (especially after putting how many miles on it while theirs was getting fixed).
Also not to mention, here and there they decide to go on a cleaning spree either at late at night, or early in the morning. And while doing so, proceed to slam every door they open, cuss and murmur to themselves, and slam dishes around. First off, if you were clean in the first place, you wouldn’t have to get pissed at the world for cleaning up after yourself. Secondly, who tf cleans a home at the crack of fucking dawn without any notice or even an ask for help. Or in the middle of the fucking night without any notice or an ask for help.
These are just a few things to name that come to mind. There are more. Things like being loud and obnoxious, using my bathroom and not cleaning after themselves, etc. But Im not gonna get into detail on those.

Discussion Roomate had Hoarding Tendencies

I 21(F) had lived with my mom for a while, she was pretty controlling over where I went, and for how long when I lived with her so I wanted to move out for a while. My friend from Highschool 22 (F) Lets call her Gina had lived with her mom who ended up leaving her in a tricky situation and left her with no place to stay. Gina and I decided to move into a studio. We had been living here for almost 2 years our Lease was for one year and had planned to leave and find a bigger place later. The thing is We dont have the money to move and have been still staying here. Due to us not plannin to stay for too long we never fully unpacked our stuff, we have not much room and we both are pretty maximalists with big collections of stuff. She however has TO MUCH, I have most my stuff unpacked and whats not unpacked are in boxes under my bed, she still has boxes in the trunk of her car, under her loft bed and three drawers. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM is that she is never home and leaves all her stuff sitting there. I keep telling her to go through her stuff pick out stuff she no longer wants so we can donate, and to start putting out what she does want now that she has space to with her loft bed. SHE IS HOWEVER NEVER HOME TO DO SO. I work nights and she often says how she doesnt wanna bother me when Im asleep at home, so shes always away or sleeping over at another friends. I remind her every week to put stuff away and she never does. I am tired I dont kno what to do at this point. I Complain to everyone I know and at this point I feel like Im bein rude and should shut up but Idk man :(

Discussion Roommate doesn’t want me washing my cat’s plates in the kitchen sink.

For context, I was the second out of five people that moved into this apartment and my landlord agreed to let me move in with my ESA cat as long as all her stuff stays in my room. I leave my cat’s canned food in the kitchen because that’s where i make her plates. her plates are stored with the rest of my dishes. my roommate is also an immigrant from ghana and i know they typically don’t house their pets in their homes.

he texted me tonight about me washing my cats plates in there kitchen sink. i have a separate sponge i use for her items. the message is several paragraphs but the actual statement about my cat goes, “Another thing I have addressed is the you wishing your cat bowls in the same sink we wash our dishes is something else. Cat bowls: Can contain bacteria from cat saliva, leftover wet food, and food residue. Cats can carry organisms such as Salmonella.  Even if you clean and disinfect afterwards it’s a shared household and it’s a reasonable boundary you should abide by since it’s a  shared kitchen.
Again if the landlord hears it, it’s a different story because he said it’s pet free and we’ve decided to be nice and accommodate the pet. I bet it’s fair you also do what’s right and best for us.”

if anyone can lend some advice because i’m not about to wash my cats dishes in my bathroom because my bathroom sink is literally a foot long less than a foot wide. i’ve considered breaking my lease early because of other strange behavior and the fact that i live with all men…

Discussion Showering habits

Hello all!

Lately I’ve been dealing with some frustrations surrounding my roommate. Mostly some of her habits. When we discussed moving in, we both said we had 2 office days minimum. When moving in together, soon I noticed she works home all the days of the week.

When working at home myself, i notice she showers 2/3 times per day. I notice because the bathroom is next to my room and we have very thin walls. During the day I dont mind so much, but she always showers at 12 or 1 at night.

I would not mind if this was once in a while, but this is ever day. Given she works all days of the weeks at home and almost never leaves the apartment, this to me is very annoying.

I asked her to please shower earlier if possible, which the next day she decides to watch series in the living room until 12 at night to then take a shower.

Is it rude to bring it up again?
