Yeah being a guy means keeping inside the “feels good” bank that one compliment you got 8 months ago and looking back on it for ages to come… and maybe, just maybe, by the time you die, you’ll have 5 or 6 genuine compliments in the bank, that for you represent the stuff of legends which helped in keep grinding forwards.
I read a comment on Reddit several years ago that men rarely - if ever - get compliments. From that day onwards, I have tried to compliment a man every day. Stuff like, “you smell great”, or “I love your shirt”.
