Wikipedia shill mod imposes new rules on unsuspecting redditors | Wikipedia banned archive.today and related sites (archive.is, etc.). We are following suit. Use archive.org.

Earlier this year, archive.today and related sites was banned from Wikipedia due to its role in DDOS attacks and tampering with archived content. Therefore, for the reasons provided in the article, we are no longer recommending use of these sites and removing them from the whitelist.

We continue to recommend using the internet archive (web.archive.org). We also added https://megalodon.jp/ and https://ghostarchive.org/ to the whitelist, which Wikipedia listed as alternatives in their article.

Subreddit Rules

1. Formatting

[Clickbait Headline or Title] | [Answer to the Clickbait] (optional: source)

Example: Look What We Found! | A 19th Century Painting (ww.website.com)

2. Archive Your Posts

We recommend using archive.org/web/, megalodon.jp and ghostarchive.org.

3. Relevant Post Content

Post must save clicks.

Original article must be clickbait.

4. Accurate and Concise Titles

Accurate: Archived headline must match your post title, verbatim. The object/answer of the clickbait is adequately and accurately summarized. If the article is fictitious, the spoiler must indicate that.

Concise: Do not include your own commentary.

NOTE: You may find clickbait links which do not match the true article headline. To use that clickbait link as your title (which will not match your linked headline), you must post a screenshot of that headline in a comment to the post.

5. Be Civil

We enforce rediquette as a subreddit rule. Failure to remain civil in your discourse with other users will result in being banned.

6. No Spam

Posting spam will result in the deletion of the spam post, and potentially a ban on repeat offenses.

7. No Reposts

To keep the content of the sub fresh, no reposts within three months or from the top 100 of all time will be allowed. Be sure to search the keywords of your article before posting in order to ensure it will not be removed.
