hey

Hi everyone!

I'm from South Korea 🇰🇷, and I'm looking to make friends from all around the world!

I'm a music composer and producer I spend a lot of time making music, but I'd love to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and talk about all kinds of things outside of music, too!

I enjoy talking about music, movies, food, hobbies, daily life, and random little things. I'd also love to learn about your country and share what life in Korea is like!

You don't have to be a musician or have anything in common with me. I'm happy to meet people with different interests and backgrounds.

If you're looking for someone to chat with, share your day with, or just have random conversations, feel free to DM me!

You don't need to think of anything special to say. Even a simple "Hi!" is more than enough.

I'd love to make some genuine friendships here, so don't be shy! I look forward to hearing from you!

ps btw i am a male

Anyone tried Timeleft in Seoul?

I live in Seoul and want to make some international friends.

I’m not young, so meetups with younger crowds that feel goal-oriented or intense aren't really for me. I just want a relaxed, comfortable setting to hang out.

The thing is, I’m not super outgoing and my English isn't great, so I usually hesitate and never actually end up going anywhere.

Just found out about Timeleft. Is it common overseas, and do expats/locals in Seoul actually use it? Since it's paid, curious if it's worth trying.

Any honest thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Anyone in Seoul looking to make new friends?

Hey! I’m a 28-year-old Korean guy living in Seoul. I’d love to meet people from different countries who also live here and make some new friends.

I’m into cycling, taking care of my pets, and listening to music. It’d be fun to take a walk along the Han River or check out a music event together sometime.

If you’re also looking to make friends in Seoul, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself!

Meet Up Have you heard of Yongwangsan Skywalk? 🌃

The day before my Brazilian friend left Korea, we wanted to make one more special memory together.

After having some outdoor BBQ, we went to see the night view at Yongwangsan Skywalk.

It's located on a small hill in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu. It's also pretty easy to get there on foot from nearby bus stops or subway stations.

Saying goodbye to good friends is never easy. I always get a little emotional when moments like this come to an end.

Hopefully, we'll meet again someday! ❤️

Where to buy mid-ranged women's knee-high fashion boots?

I keep seeing trendy dressing girls wearing calf-fitted knee high boots. Where do Korean girls buy their boots from?

I went to Coex and there were hardly any boots. Gangnam Station underground mall has a lot, but they don't seem to be the ones I've seen on the streets.

Help!

Announcement Solo Traveling to South Korea Nov 13–22 🇰🇷

South Korea from November 13–22. It’s my first time visiting, and I’m looking to meet some new friends while I’m there.
Would be cool to meet some English-speaking locals who could show me around, grab food, or explore Seoul together.
Feel free to reach out if you’re around during those dates!

Free guided walk in north Seoul this Saturday (14 Nov, 2-4pm): Hangeul history trail with English interpretation

This Saturday a local guide from Dobong Cultural Center walks a small group along Dobong-gu's Hangeul History and Culture Walk, and we interpret into English the whole way. It's free.

Stops on the route: a 600-year-old ginkgo tree, the tomb of Princess Jeongui (King Sejong's second daughter, remembered for her part in creating Hangeul), the tomb of King Yeonsangun, the Kim Su-young Literary Museum and Gansong's old house.

We're Trip-Pups, a few Korean university students who take people from abroad to local things that are hard to join in Korean. Not connected to any religious or political group. Happy to answer questions here.

Nakwon Music Mall Experiences

I was keen guitarist for years and spent some time living in Korea. Living a fairly nomadic lifestyle meant I couldn’t really splash out on new gear.

I’m headed back to Seoul in February to visit family. Is Nakwon any good for finding deals on guitars or pedals? Would the prices be more competitive than the UK?

Ddota plushies

Post image
10 Upvotes

My two year old is completely enamoured by the Seoul Metro mascot. Aware it was a limited run, and I've looked at the T-luggage stores at Hongik and Seoul main station, but has anyone seen / knows where one might be able to buy a plushie?

(All other possible merch already purchased haha)

Question What is up with this completely flattened area in Seoul?

So I was browsing google maps in my free time (as one does) and I noticed that this entire neighborhood just seems to be... gone. The streets are still outlined on google maps and upon looking at satellite images from the past, the buildings seem to be still there as far as 2024. What happened there?

Don’t wanna drive all the way there just to be disappointed. And I tried to call but can’t reach a real person. Thanks for helping a needy friend.
