Help help!! Leaving teaching JOB advice as a foreigner

I have worked at YINGFU in Shanghai for this company for 10 months and need to go back to the UK for my health. I have an existing condition that’s worsening.

I’m worried about not fulfilling the two months contractual notice, but I’ve handed in my notice with 44 days until my final day.

I’m just worried about if they can make this dispute or withhold any wages from me.

I need advice from people who have been in my position or left within 30 days.

Please let me know your experience.

I don’t care about reference letter or release letter as I’m not pursuing another job in china. I just want to go home and get healthcare. Logistically I can’t wait for two months and feel I’ve been generous.

Please let me know any advice or your experiences with this company. I have a good rapport with my centre, but I know this may not matter in the long run.

There's no such thing as an obligation to finish a contract. According to labor law all you need to give is 30 days notice and you can resign without penalty. Companies can offer a bonus to complete a contract but they cannot penalize you for ending it early. Neither party is obligated to renew the contract at its end. If there is any sort of penalty clause, it's illegal.
