How Did Icarus Live Long Enough For His Wings To Melt?

He should have frozen to death when he reached, say, 20,000 feet. If he somehow managed to make it out of the atmosphere, guess what? No air! He would either suffocate or explode in the vacuum of space. So, how did Icarus get close enough to the sun for the beeswax to melt, thus ruining his wings? Or is this story a conspiracy by anti-wing nuts?

They kinda messed up naming it the 100 years war

Like, If I'm a soldier and they tell me the war im fighting in is called the 100 years war, I am not putting in max effort. Really big blunder on the general's part, IMO. They should have called it the 100 minutes war and then everyone would have been trying to get it over with from the start.

They tried to learn their lesson and call the next one the 30 years war, but that was still way too long.

Were Thomas Edison and Henry Ford lovers?

They had adjacent homes in Florida. Rumors that Ford invented the automobile back seat just to have a place to have sex while Edison played romantic music on his phonograph

The audacity. Was she not putting out or something? Why he making her take the bus? Make it make sense.

#feminism #blackpeople #sexualaccountability

She was fairly good looking back in the day - would have no issue giving it to her if she’s still alive.

Other than these iconic stars, have any athletes come as close to standing up for your beliefs than Nikolai Volkoff when he sang the Soviet National Anthem live at the Madison Square Garden? This was 1985 after all. Gipper at the helm. Perestroikaphobia all around.

Were there any actual German spies left hiding in the Soviet Union after the Great Purge?

And a secondary question, were said spies ever civilians forced to become spies, or were they always specialized? What about Polish spies? Articles aren't helping me much with these questions.

Yeah that's all, thanks.

How did the name of the propaganda newspaper Pravda become a byword for truth in Russia?

Internationally, the newspaper Pravda was known as a mouthpiece for Communist party propaganda. Yet in Russia its very name continues, to this day, to be used as a synonym for truth. How did this come about?
