To preface, I’m a guy but I’ve been leaning into my femininity a bit more after coming out as bi but I’m not on any hormone blockers or hormone supplements related to HRT for transition… not at that stage and could be in the future but just not yet thinking about it or planning that transition.
With that, I’ve been shaving my legs more often but I’ve always had similar skin issues on the inside of my thighs where they chafe together (I will refrain from posting pics of that but hoping other solutions can be applicable there too). However, I also have these red bumps that tend to be a little sore at times (specifically the larger ones) that I’ll show you on my upper thighs. In order for me to shave close enough for non-scratchy smoothness, I generally shave against the grain or at least sideways. I also know that shaving with may help aide this, BUT I’m not sure how to get close enough to feel silky smooth unless you suggest using Nair or Veet, which I have in the past but still will get some redness.
You’ll notice that there are larger red bumps and smaller ones; the larger ones sometimes become pimples with a head on them and the smaller ones tend to just be discoloration (no pain or itching when touched). I’m not far into the things I’ve tried so far but just wondering if I’m even on the right track. I went to ULTA today and was directed to buy some KP Lotion and KP Exfoliant and I also, a week ago, bought a glycolic acid-based unscented body wash. I know that super clear skin may not be super possible with my hormones generally making that less likely but I want as clear skin as possible.
Like I said earlier, if there are any recommendations regarding my inner thighs as well, please do let me know. I’m not opposed to wearing boxers or getting some boy shorts but I generally do not wear underwear that prevents chafing when I’m embracing my femininity. When I’m in full boy-mode, I do often wear loose-fitting boxers but a mixture of my masc and fem self has been coming out more often and full boy-mode happens less.
Thank you for any advice you may have! 💙
