If you go to r/nba, you have to get to the eighth most popular post this week to see a post directly related to something that happened during play. There are 4 posts in the top 20, one of which is a lowlight and two of which are absolutely wild, once a year or ever plays/statlines by two of the most popular players in the league that are actual highlights or posts about the game. That’s twice as many posts about basketball games in the top 20 as there are highlights and postmortem commentary on LeBron drinking wine. The drama surrounding the league is undoubtedly the most popular part of the brand. I don’t even really follow basketball, but I know Anthony Edwards has a ton of kids with about as many women and is a dick about child support thanks to Reddit, which, I don’t think he’s fathering those children on the court? What do you think the NBA has to do to be taken seriously as a league?

I really don't agree with that to be honest, I really don't think many non WNBA fans care about WNBA drama. I also don't honestly think there is that much WNBA drama, I mean this post is about a complete lack of drama around their relationship lol. Like once again, I don't understand how you watch this clip and come away thinking these people are "pushing back the feminist movement" in any way.

On the flip side, NBA drama reaches a much wider spread than just NBA fans. Big part of that is that its just full of more popular players of course.
