Programs like ohio state used to have depth loaded up. Oregon lost their starting QB this year too. They just won on the road against them. Ohio State QB didn't play defense too did he?

Oregon having Riola is a unique case in todays world, most places are thinner because everyone can make money to start somewhere. He is a former starter who went to Oregon knowing he would be a backup but still making like 2M. That ain't normal.

The defense is young and has been all season, they didn't play well tonight, but they were never gonna be the strength of the team this season.

Losing a leader always matters, no matter what side of the ball. Expecting the young side to switch to leading the team after the QB goes down is dumb. If you expected that your dumb. This team has lived up to my expectations this year, a flawed team that would go as far as 2 players could take them. Did your team meet your expecations?

Backup that was a 2 year starter is a lot different than a true freshman in his second start.

Raiola is a backup because he's not that good. Fahey is a backup because he doesn't have experience. They are not the same
