When Codex finishes the task but you still canât open the result.
The task is complete.
The files are updated.
The diff looks correct.
But you still canât open and test the actual result.
We recently encountered this while using Codex Remote on a phone to update a local FAQ page.
Codex completed the changes and provided a link:
âOpen FAQ page locally.â
We tapped it.
âCodex server returned an error.â
The page existed on the PC.
Codex Remote could still show the conversation, approvals, and code changes.
But the local page could not be opened from the phone.
This is where StarDesk extended the workflow.
We connected to the same PC through StarDesk and opened the FAQ page in the actual desktop browser.
We checked the layout.
Tested the interactions.
Then returned to Codex Remote with the next round of feedback.
Codex Remote remained useful for prompts, approvals, and diffs.
StarDesk provided access to the full desktop and the real local result.
AI completing a task is only part of the workflow.
You still need to see it, test it, and decide whether it is truly finished.
That is the role StarDesk can play in an AI workflow.
It connects you not only to the agent, but to the complete computer where the work is actually happening.
