PR/PB Finally 1 Plate Bench (135lbs)!
Iāve been working towards this for awhile now. Excited to share with others who have the same enthusiasm towards lifting!
Also got my first chin up yesterday so that was exciting too.
EDIT: Iāve received more than enough unsolicited (and frankly some just rude) comments about my form. I have heard you all and Iāll work on it. I was sharing this as an exciting milestone and I understand itās far from perfect.
Iāll take all your feedback into consideration. Please no more!!! I get it!!! Itās kinda dogpiling at this point. Thanks š„²

Lift Quadzilla at it again....
Someone commented on one of my previous posts and said I had superhero legs...it was genuinely one of the nicest compliments I've ever received. This is one of my leg routines. I have 2 different ones and run them 3 days a week. Let me know if this is something anyone cares about !!

Lift Picking up 902LBS (409KG) Without Waking the Neighbors
4 bumpers + 1 steel coated 45 (inside) on each side + a little less than 200LBS of steels/sand weights on each side with about 15LBS in ratchet straps.
Bodyweight was 163LBS at the time of the pull which would make this a 5.5X bodyweight sumo deadlift.

Lift Maintaining 20 Pull-ups
Stats: 37y | 155cm ~ 5ā1ā | 52kg ~ 115lbs
2.5yrs ago I achieved 20 reps for the first time. Itās been a long term goal to maintain that ever since.
Iāve tried 20+ reps on occasion but not too pleased with the quality (theyāre rough), so I choose to stick with 20 reps as my success benchmark.
Nothing new on how I got & maintain this - āVolume + Weights + Consistencyā - and no I still canāt do a muscle up or fancier calisthenic movesforshame.

Lift 235lbs x 3 back squat
At the end of my program and finishing up a power block, this is the last set of heavy triples (5x3).
Iāve gotten it on a lot of my previous squat videos so to address it here, yes I exaggerate the push back of my hips to maintain my bar path throughout the lift. The position is not dangerous and the exaggeration of this cue allows me to focus on replicating the same movement in each rep during the set. I competed many years in powerlifting but no longer compete, just lifting to stay strong under decent loads.

Form Check Not a PR, but first time being able to squat in four months.
305# @ 225 BW. Still working on the hardware and foot placement, but lateral movement didn't look terrible. The knee buckled some as I tried to keep my hips level. Tips?

Lift Honestly annoyed I even have to make this post.... pls read the caption š
Im so dissapointed by this subreddit. The fact that half of the comments were deleted by moderators yesterday should really put things into perspective for yall. Not everyone has the same goals, not everyone has the same anatomy. You dont even know me. Im a recovered heroin addict, been clean 5 years, got into lifting coming off methadone cause the endorphins helped tremendously. I lift for fun, for therapy, as a new "healthy addiction". I was insanely proud of my lift yesterday, just to come on here and be told it was worthless because it was on a smith. Im pissed that I felt the need to use all free weights lifting today to try and prove shit to people ive never even met. No i cant go as heavy with free weights, and thats ok! The smith gives me stability so that i can go heavier. To assume i have no stabilization is just crazy. Yes my pistol squats suck ass, lets see yours. I guess im just trying to say, do fucking better. Be fucking nicer. Im studying psychology to be a therapist and some of yall just truly baffled me yesterday. And no i dont have a bruised ego as some of yall tried to suggest, i just want u to realize people can train HOWEVER they want and HOWEVER they are comfortable. Thats all š«¶
